Title: 71625 Wombat Shelter
Post by: Macruran on January 11, 2025, 05:04:32
Is this the first ever PM set to contain "whoopsies"?

Maybe you missed this euphemistically-named part?
https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-4412 (https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-4412)
(Take a look at the sets in which it is found and you will see only one of them involves ice cream sales)

Are wombat droppings really cuboid? If so, are wombats cross-eyed?

No, the whoopsie of those creepy soulless eyes seems to happen in way too many sets these days.

Yes wombat droppings are cuboid, I think a unique trait.
Chocolate ice cream / dung piles have been around a long time. The cow patty piece is also pretty common in farm and horse sets.

More confectionery options is always good.

Would a giant wombat be called a bricklayer then? ??? Or brickie given it's Australia.

Chocolate ice cream seems like it was originally intended to be ice cream, so technically not purpose-designed. Cow pats I hadn't heard of though :o

We’ll seeing as the design department made the blue garden tools, the pink cart and the pastel/ugly clothing why not just make yellow dung ?

Rainbow bright sets

Rainbow bright sets

Not like the realistic colours of old...

If they could've made squareyellowdung back then it would be a collector's item now.

That second set, wasn’t it a beach house

The first set is in my opinion a lot better than the newest sets

Also I’m not sure but wasn’t there more limited color options in the past

Today they have so many colors to choose from and they still go for rainbows instead of  staying grounded on earth

I suspect all the colour choices (super bright in the 80s, pastels now) is more influenced by fashion than technical limitations, but I could be wrong.

I think it may have to do with that recycled material thing. I like the colors, but they are inconsistend and match nothing. Even the same critter can have mismatched colors, and that I find not acceptable..
