Title: Some of my customised buildings in my city

I love using playmobil buildings as the basis for my tiny city (loosely based on New York) but I also like to make them my own,
not sure if anyone would be interested but I have attached some photos anyway of some of the things I’ve done!
It’s amazing how much you can achieve with just a printer. I’ll be doing a lot more so will post if there’s any interest and let me know if you have any questions. I also have made a music video inside the tiny city and hope to make something much more elaborate in the future! I have found that using 1/24 scale cars really adds to the realism

Ah thanks!! I cut out window holes and added some floors inside! Not playmobil obviously but the right scale!

Thank you! Yes that’s actually what I love about playmobil - although being cartoonish the buildings are very realistic still!

Post by: breadmobil on December 02, 2024, 14:38:36: i hope these images come out bigger! here are some new photos! i love my city very much! the most exciting new addition is LIGHTING!! i managed to find some correct scale railway lights and modify my existing playmobil ones with bulbs so they are all wired in to mains. i slightly raised the city off the floor with wooden planks so i could drill them in! it was very uncomfortable to do but i’m so happy with the result!

Thank you! I am going for as much realism as I can with the limitations of my own skill and playmobil! I’m so happy with the lighting :)

thank you!! haha yes sidewalks, it’s meant to be loosely based on New York! (very loosely!)

Thank you!!! It was relatively painless to do the lighting apart from the fact that my city is on the floor and takes up a whole room, so getting the cables through the base boards was a bit of a nightmare! It makes such a huge difference to the realism though it was totally worth it

Hehe me too thank you!! one thing I found is that using 1/24 scale cars and vehicles looks a lot more realistic than the Playmobil ones
