It's a complete world and can be played with on any surface a person is likely to use - carpet, bed, grass, sand, water without falling over like the figures themselves do. The figures can stay upright on the decks or be clipped onto things to stop them falling over. It's relatively easy to store and doesn't take up as much space as a building or fall apart if you move it.
Personally I prefer castles but there are definite pros to ship toys.

Yes, it is very hard to understand, due to the oddball style and subject matter.  I believe the editorialist is mocking the current prime minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati — "Mikou" — by likening him to a 'playmobil', meaning a straw man ( aka a 'non-player character', or npc ), who got his position by being obsequious to one Istiz Nabeuh, an old senator who's pulling the strings, apparently.  The title, "Chefs Playmobil", hints that the PM isn't the first puppet political leader, parading around, the country has known — as confirmed later in the article.

That one is a very silly take. It's not like smoking doesn't bother (and harm) other people. I can't abide it. I think it should be forbidden EVERYWHERE.

Great thing about the playmofactory (pcc tour, 2014) - they had these silly glass houses so smokers could go and kill/stink themselves without bothering anyone else (well... can't do anything about their smell, I suppose :P )

There's so many Playmobil hair styles now he could have Playmobil hair, except they don't actually do that style where the hair is cut close on the sides of the head and they should. Starmer does seem to be a very German looking politician even if his hairstyle isn't fashionable in Zirndorf.

That raises the question of what is meant by the term "Playmobil hair". I think the common man or woman would understand the term as referring to the classic, original Playmobil hair piece from 1974. The other modern hairstyles that they do all resemble real hairstyles, so if Starmer's hair resembled one of those, it wouldn't be Playmobil necessarily, it would just be the hairstyle that that particular Playmobil hair was itself imitating - in other words it would be the Playmobil hair that was like Starmer's hair, not the other way around. "This klicky has Starmer hair." And as you rightly point out, Playmobil doesn't do a hair with his short on the sides look. So it's a mess all around.

We should file a formal complaint.

If I'm understanding these correctly, we have here an example of the phrase "Playmobil hair" being used to refer not to the shape of someone's hair, but to its immobility. Novel and dare I say apropos. I further seem to understand that the person with the Playmobil hair is not the lady pictured, even though she too has remarkworthy hair.
