K'Nex for the movement of the merry-go-round - fantastic!  Could we, pretty please, see a video of it in action?

I thought those rods looked familiar (K'nex).  And using a train boiler as the cover is works well.  A video would be great as would a picture of the drive mechanism.

The merry go round is fantastic!  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

The Chinese hospital is ... interesting from a craft standpoint (your custom jeep and klickies).   :hmm:

I've been to real Chinese hospitals in Beijing (once for a foot rash and twice for my daughter), and the hospitals were boringly similar to any other hospital.  The offices are kind of grubby.  No air conditioning.  They send you to the X-ray room for everything.  But, otherwise, they don't...

Er, they don't dress like kung fu masters and ride around in crazy jeeps...  :shhhh:

It's funny though!!!  :hmm:
And did I say the merry go round is fantastic!   :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Hello, Michael ...

Yay It does here so let me know please

YAY! It works here too! All the way here on the island of St. Thomas in the Caribbean!

If we can see (and hear) it here in the Virgin Islands, everyone should be able to enjoy your video of your INCREDIBLE merry-go-round  wherever they are!

Thanks and all the best,
Richard

Uh, cool. Just divulges some more details: e.g. the lights in the large rods.

Just a suggestion: it would be perfect -- from my point of view -- if at the outer edge of the platform you could attach some poles with chains inbetween, just right before the horses with some small openings so that people can enter the platform. E.g. the poles and chains taken from the new Pirates lighthouse painted in white (or gold or yellow; but I think white would match best at your display).

Still more magnificent now I've seen it working, and I think Little Jo's suggestion is a good one - the final detail.

Wonderful! :inlove:

I thought the merry-go-round looked beautiful just as a static display piece. But to discover that it also can turn by itself and that the horses go up and down was utterly delightful!!! :D :D :D

Your inventiveness never ceases to amaze me. 8-)

(Very good suggestion also from Jochen. :))

Hope you and Brubil have a great time in Bremen! :)

That is very impressive and probably one of the best customs that I have seen this year. :)

It is a fantastic piece of toy engineering and an absolute visual delight to see it working. :wow:

3 Cheers for macgayver, Hip Hip Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray

The meeting is not in Bremen, it is in Osterholz-Scharmbeck close to Bremen  ;)
On the weekend 23 to 25. november there is a modelling (is that the correct word?) trade fair at the Bremen trade fair.

It's propably the best custom I ever saw during my whole life  :omg:
I already liked it already without the video, but seeing it turn around...

Maybe we need of wall of fame on the forum. And Mac definitely deserves a star (or 2  ;)
