Uhm... Super 4 definitely! The Movie... probably, yes!

Another ep friday? Though.. 11 mikes?! Seriously? Make it 45 or so, like a proper series!
And did you see all the GORGEOUS civilians about! :o
(we should move this discussion to its own topic)

Just watched episode 1, great character introduction. Really liked it. Toy soldiers that look like Playmobil? Pretty pony...
Love the wolf. The voices were well done, so much better than the super annoying Playmo High series.
-
This was fun. Watched both episodes while having breakfast.
Is it better than than Super 4? I don't know as I really liked Super 4, but it looks like it'll be as entertaining.
Like in the Playmobil Movie, I really wish that they would release the civilians. So many cool characters that don't exist in toy form. Maybe they don't think that civilians are that exciting for kids, but they make the world around the heroes more alive.
Looking forward to the next episode :)
-
It doesn't appeal to me but it looks fairly well done, I especially like that they are going with more traditional klicky appearances, especially the classic face, instead of those strange Super 4 and movie ones. I am in favor of that. Also agree that they should do some civilian sets. The civvie scenes in these episodes give hope that they might release a few if the theme does well. 8-)

Agreed. I think the biggest improvement is using those traditional faces with a modern and more lively take!
Yet for the design. Apart from that purple priest, I do not really like all other klickies, their appearances. Probably I am more of a fan for knights from 2000s.
-
The animation is good. The characters are fairly similar to the Super 4 characters (I guess that makes Dario a Gene/Twinkle combo).
I'm not sure the style of humor would appeal to kids. It doesn't quite break the 4th wall, but it's 'aware' of that 4th wall.

I am totally in love with the new Novelmore series.  It just is amazing. I also think it is better than Super 4. I am so happy there is finally a medieval Playmobil series with knights, citizens, magicians, and the Playmobil medieval houses. I love it!
-
Watched episode 2, the fire demons were cool. Maybe the lava monsters can fill that slot. They look somewhat like them. We'll see if they think to rerelease them as part of a Novelmore set.
-
Never expected it, but I DO love this series!!!

Part 3 is tomorrow.

Very strange. I thought they'd jump at the opportunity to make another big lump of plastic!
(can't get over the lack of feet)

Today's episode - best ever. The final 2 parts will both debut on Friday. There seriously must be another series of this.

FINAL?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OO

Even more stuff that deserve the toy treatment.
This little series is fun, I watch it with my morning coffee before I go to work :)

With the new sets coming next year, I really hope there will be a second or even more Playmobil Novelmore series.
And not just about the new sets (Violet Vale and Sal'ahari Sands) but also more about the Novelmore Knights and Burnham Raiders.
I also really hope they will release the traitor Scribbles and Sir William Keene from the Playmobil Novelmore Magazine, en maybe some of the citizins.
Which figures of the series would you love to be released?
-
Considering his prominence I am surprised they didn't do Scribbles in the first two rune. He should have been with the large castle. Also the Generals army men since they are clearly based on the existing micro molds.
-
I want all the pretty peasants and the hairs... and the toy soldiers..
(and I am sure there's more...)
-
Both episodes were fun.
Now to sit here and hope for another season.
-
Season two first episode has arrived on YouTube for English today. Ok set up for the next series.
-
So far, it's only appeared in English, including the trailer for season 2. There are no previews set-up for any other PM YouTube channels yet, so I'm wondering why the English version has gotten such precedence. The character of Faylinn was seen in the original ads for season 1 but hasn't appeared until now; she's included in the opening credits, along with the new figure of Flinton Spark. I'm waiting for the skeleton army.
-
I am not sure we will see Skeleton Army that much yet. the episodes that are coming out now we actually developed for a fall 2020 release. But management in its superiour wisdom put it on hold mid production for reasons that are "comedy gold". Since this new episode is 1:1 with the story and script we had then, i expect only a small teaser towards the Violet Vale in the next 13 episodes.

@collectobart
Do you know of season 2 will be the last or there will be more to follow and if there are plans to continue the Novelmore themes for a couple more years? And will Playmobil also release Green Grove and Amber Empire?

All I can say is that when i departed at PLAYMOBIL i left a franchise bible behind that detailed the other realms, described further stories and overall design directions that could keep them going for quite a few years. As it was really the first PM theme that was planned and developed as a multi-year product arc, I can imagine we will see those other realms pop up the next years.

Can you tell me what the idea behind Green Grove and Amber Empire is?

Looks like episode 14 (season 2 ep 2) is coming out TOMORROW (Nov 12) on PM English. That was fast.... :o
-
Just watched the most recent episode, and know I need a Flinton Spark figure in his original costume. How did they do sets to this series and not include him? Musical number wss ok but not quite catchy enough.
-

When the musical bit started, I was reminded of how I felt when I first watched "A Knight's Tale."

So, I suppose I'm quite late, but I finally watched all of the episodes that have been released so far. As of today, that means up to Episode 26. I'm not sure whether this (or slightly before it) is meant to be the end of the second season, but it seems to have flowed right into the next plotline with the introduction of the Violet Vale and Timithor's apprentices.
And, well, overall I think the series is really cool. Great job collectobart and everyone else who worked on this! <*) It has a lot of fantastic characters, and, while the theme is definitely not as simple as the old Magic and Knights themes, I think it blends the fantasy elements together really nicely. Some of the more modern things (like some of Dario's inventions) can be a bit strange in the setting, but they don't detract from the story. I would really like to have the series on DVD or BD, but I expect that there won't be any official releases with the popularity of streaming (and unpopularity of disc media) now.
I agree with many of you that the classic Playmobil look is really well done in all of the characters and settings. A set with just all of the background characters that show up would be excellent; some of them would be nice for any Medieval setting!

I agree! How was he not included in a set? That is pretty surprising, but I suppose not as surprising as that random song in Episode 18!
-
Yes, it's a well done series. I compliment them on the casting of the voice actors for the English language version. They all do a great job and really fit the characters. I also like the fact that there are strong female characters in this series that get a lot to do.
-
I love the series too
Everything looks beautiful, and I would also love the peasants as real klickys.... we keep drooling over them :P
It would be awesome to get a proper dvd edition of this - and super 4, but they don't want the money, so we make do.
(didn't watch the last couple of eps - over the weekend, I suppose, we usually watch the new available ones every weekend)

They do fit the characters really well. Sometimes the mixing of accents can be strange, but I suppose it can work in the setting.

Yes, that is nice! Hopefully Pyralia (who has one of the most powerful and useful abilities) and Faylinn continue to be featured. They haven't made appearances in the new plotline yet.
