Hello, I bought the old piano set 5551 from a garage sale last week but the battery is dead.
Anyone knows if these battery are still being manufactured? Can we use other batteries?

Thanks!

The dead battery should have some information on it as to what type it is.

Thanks for your response. The custom battery has no information as shown in the photo

I was hoping someone would tell me where to find these custom Playmobil batteries.

That diagram shows the little speaker that makes the music and, if I remember correctly, the battery fits inside of it. Have you already taken the piano apart to remove the dead battery? I tried a search here at Playmofriends (almost anything you can think of has been discussed here at one time or another) and came up with this post from schluss in 2012:
Hi,
the Piano uses a simple standard cell battery Type 189 / AG 10 ....
Regards
I don't know if this type of battery is still available, but there may be an equivalent. BTW, set 5551 is one of my favorites. :)

The AG 10 is a standard battery. I have one of these pianos but I am not sure where it is, I will try and have a look. You should be able to get the AG 10 on eBay as they are a watch battery at about 2 for £1
