Title: Lechuza Ojo
Post by: Macruran on May 16, 2020, 02:51:12
The Gnomes of Zirndorf have had another brainwave and combined their planter pots with PM heads. And they're even available in the US! I think I'm gonna buy one (or more). I say that even though I've a brown thumb. It's a rare plant that is safe from my tender ministrations.

Aren't you afraid of the "interactive eyes"? You may be helping a hidden camera into your living room! :lens:

No.

A little yeah. I'm also really puzzled why they went with mostly freakish hair colours, and only one classic colours and cut. That's the only one I would get.  :skull:

I find these rather creepy. Much as I like Playmo I don't think I want one in my house.

I like'em & ordered the one with the classic hair in red. I'll probably get a few more; D likes the female hair in blue. I have a "Queen of the Night" orchid cactus that will look good growing in one (it's easy to start from cuttings).

I kind of want to get one for my sister. I give it a 50/50 chance whether she loves it or freaks out so much that it ends up at Goodwill.

The eyes show the water level then?

Yes, there's a piece inside that raises or lowers according to water level, which makes the eyes change color; blue when full, then turning to brown as the water lowers. It's just this piece changing position behind the eye holes. Nothing very dramatic but a neat touch.
