AFAIK, "Held" is male... "Heldinnen" is female plural.. I think.

Now, why they are all women.. no idea.  I want the packaging   :P

If I'm not mistaken, it's an attempt at gender-neutral plural forms.

Exactly. It is short for Helden und Heldinnen (or should it be Heldinnen und Helden?)
