They did do a few Medieval torture prototypes back in the ´90s ...
Indeed ! I remember seeing pics of them somewhere many years ago . Rather strange of playmobil back then if you ask me 8}
I hope to buy the full set online...
Just bought them, from a UK seller too!
It is about the "Ghost Diver", with the attractive head of the type first seen in the world of SUPER 4, seen on Dr. X, Sir Ulf and Grimmagus. I was looking forward to see it with a Figures-compatible neck, and was appalled that Geobra hadn't produced one: They just used the known SUPER 4 head, whilst supplying a grey Figures inlet! :omg:
Could be a stupid mistake - was it one, or all of them?
How about the other people, were they all like that?
Or do you mean the other SCOOBY-DOO bags?
Hi. What have I missed? Please explain the question to a rather obtuse me! I have dozens of the ghost figures, probably about 9 of the diver. 13 snow ghosts, about a dozen Pumpkinheads, 10 clowns.... I've learned to identify them easily in bag. Found 2 clowns yesterday.
To cut it short - do they all have figure heads?
To cut it short - do they all have figure heads?
Yes, please tell us the state of their necks! :yup:
From what I gather, they all have regular, hard-to-disassemble necks. Play Planet at Klicky-Welt (https://klickywelt.de/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=71660&start=45#p1079073/) (login required) complained that his diver cannot be taken apart after assembly, and if you look at item 324160940359 under the finished listings at a respectable online auction house, you'll actually see a regular neck. I haven't yet seen the diver's head with a smooth figures-neck. :eh?:
Here the person says it IS a figure head. I asked him to confirm and he did.
To clarify: I didn't see it, just reporting what I was told.
Back to topic now.
Today 70288 SCOOBY-DOO! Mystery Figures Series 1 was released in Germany. I know this is old news for the US Playmofriends, but here in Europe we were utterly excited – I was, at any rate. I looked forward to this day.
I was lucky and could pluck the entire range of 12 figures from an unblemished retail box, and am very happy with my new toys. The whole idea of scary figures that can be unmasked and pacified is quite appealing to young players, and the new parts are great for customizers. Still, let me start with a complaint.

I know that one can use regular heads with grey inlets, but it isn't easy to pull the head off again, especially with the lower part of the diving helmet in the way. And the head doesn't turn well, things are just too tight. But what bugs me most is that Geobra has been cutting corners, again: Clearly, it was considered too expensive to produce a new mould for this head with a new neck. I wish they wouldn't do that. :hmm:

Other than that I'm quite happy with the lot. Some great characters!
Best wishes

I would appreciate some photos in which some heads can be compared with others, and to be able to understand well the problem that there is to remove the heads from the figure.
Thanks for that, Tahra. This discussion was really crying out for photos!
So, Figures heads have an arrow on the back of the head, just below the notch. Is that the only difference?
I just checked eight different Series 17 Figures heads and they all have the arrow. Any reversible two-faced heads wouldn't have the arrow though. Not that reversible heads are very common.

Thank you all! According to Tahra's playkingdoms pictures, paying close attention to the different necks, this picture above is definitely a normal head... This is bad news. :(
