thanks for those pictures. I did not log in so there are no picture in the links . are the pictures you showed the same ones in the link or is THERE MORE . YES MORE . also i do like to see some new vegies. mmm carrots. for some reason the scale of what i am guessing is a SUV , seems to be a bit large. the klicky head looks like it is a the height of the hood . Even the Hummer is not that large.
Hey Chachalote Wish for a even bigger navy ship. we have 2 small dinghy's a slightly larger red rowboat . now a small sail boat, a common size two mast sail boat . start wishing for a Really BiG ship.

That looks like a great sailing dingy, and I'll be adding several to my fleet when I can. Small gunboats like this could nip out from the safety of a harbour and harrass larger ships with their greater manoeuverability. One hit from a big ship's gun would sink one, but getting that hit on a swiftly moving target isn't easy.

I hadn't noticed the tender before (I just saw the red sails and assumed it was a re-release of the larger ship) nor cahalote's earlier thread. Very encouraging if Playmobil did pick up on either cachalote's request or hadoque's custom. Let me try:

no, no, no, playmofire - you can't wish for a new set in capital red letters - you have to keep it small.
you have to use an almost silent and melancholic tone, pretending to be even a bit sad with your wishings.
this will give a touch of quiet and childish genious to our obvious madness about playmobil.
this strategy also makes it easier for the geobra spies to feel that the idea actually comes from them...

to customizer - i don't know if there are more new sets and i really thank you for the ones you show.

the problem for me to log on to klickywelt is that all the site is in german, a language that totally escapes me.
i have tried but there is not a word i understand to became a "silent" member.
i guess you will have to keep on giving us the news...

Well I have been wishing for a pet shop for 4 years or so and now they have the animal hospital that is even better. There are new color variations of pony, dog, puppy, and kitten in the sets, but no new animals. There are some great accessories though that will be very useful.
Am I the only one that thinks the new pirate boat looks like a Dhow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhow)? With that, the Fairy ricksha, and the recent figures with Asian eyes and dragon tattoos I really think the odds are high for the rumored Asian theme in the next 2 years.
There are so many big Fire Department fans out there - in Germany and elsewhere - that I think it's inevitable that there will be new sets for the theme eventually. No point dreaming small though - how about a new station with those doors like on that carry-along construction building, the engine Gordon mentions, an auxiliary tanker based on the airport gas truck, a revised ladder truck, and some smaller sets with new interesting accessories?

if i am not mistaken, tiermann, a dhow is more an arab / african vessel.
with their triangular (latin) sails they were the inspiration for the first portuguese XV / XVI century vessels, the "caravelas" that reached the tip of south africa, brazil, india and japan.
maybe this could mean the return of the arab sets - i would like it very much, being so compatible with my pirates...

Tiermann , that is interesting that you have been wanting to have a pet shop as i have been taking my time building one . as soon as i get some more partsw from DS i will post pictures . The only thing is i really hate commercial pet dealers. Even in playmo land i hate to see all those animals locked up in cages. :(

you are right rasputin, it sounds like wikipedia (i hope tiermann can forgive my stupid-know-it-all-thinks-he-is-very-smart tone) but only the picture comes from there.
i am an amateur sailor and like to know stuff about sailing boats.
the dhows are, unfortunately, one of the few legacies the arab culture left in portugal (my country).
also from wikipedia comes this picture from a chinese junk, the boat that, being made by playmobil, would really confirm the possible "asian" family.

meanwhile, and driven by customizer's posts, i decided to try and become a member of klickywelt.
i finally did it. i am probably registered as a chicken from jupiter, 78 years old, interested in ceilings but i don´t care.
i can now view all the images in the "Themenwelt: Piraten, Gardisten & Soldaten" thread and the "Playmobil Neuheiten" thread.
i have no idea what people are talking about but images are universal.
i just hope no one feels the need to talk to me...

I also tried to log in but did not make it very far in the registration . I only speak English, Russian, and a little spanish. I am waiting for a Russian Forum . Well i guess they would have to first start selling Playmobil before any forum pops up . :lol:
Now that Junk would be quite a nice piece. I remember some body making a custom junk and it just looks so in line with playmobil. Many of the molds could be reused . all the hand carts or the people carriers and maybe some day an asian city .

I'm a member and have no German (other than key fire brigade abbreviations and odd technical words, but even there a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!). I limit myself to short sentences in English, plus a German translation using FreeTranslation.com and the emoticons, of which they have lots. Sometimes I just use the emoticons. When I post a custom, people may reply in English, German (often with a transalation) or in German plus using the emoticons, or just with the emoticons. One way or another there is communication. I'll PM you some useful phrases such as "Great work" you can just copy and paste if you like. Some words are straightforward such as klasse and kool or cool.

i also failed my first attempt with an incorrect answer too (something to do with animal names) but they allowed me a second try by confirming that i was seeing an image of a fire burning. 8}
with a lot of babel-fish translation (very tricky) i somehow managed to "get in".
i wish you luck (you will need it)...

Third time I answered the question in German and got past the login page. Now I'm waiting for the email confirmation that I'm OK.
Two anti-spam questions seems a bit belt-and-braces, but they must have their reasons. Playmoboard has had a couple of spam adverts recently, so maybe (If there's anyone moderating, which seems at present unlikely) they'll have to tighten up security.

I have typed in all they requested, 3 times 3 is 9 and yes i see a fire also i saw 4 blue lines, but no luck.
Nevermind, if they don't want my company then......it's their loss.

Great pictures, Customizer. I also like the pirate boat with the
lateen sail. That sail could be used very well on a pirate ship
mizzen mast. (the one in back.) ;D
I made a Playmobil radio controlled Junk, or Sampan if you wish, a while back.
I thought I posted it, but maybe not..
A true Chinese Junk would really cool!..Hmmmmm
I think my intrest in Pirates just went up a notch :yup:

:wow:yes playmofire, that and another "rural/maritime portuguese" factor.
being a country that remains very agriculture-and-fishing-based in its brain structure makes it difficult to wish for something, or at least to speak about that wish.
in this very pre-industrial revolution logic there is no place for wishing - an action that can only bring you bad luck. :-\
in fact, there is no point in wishing a good fishery or a good crop because a twist on the weather can ruin everything.
this behaviour still happens in russia, for example, and it was common in the 18th century royal navy.
this explains very strange things like the fact that my grandfather used girl clothes until he was 5 - that was a way to demonstrate that a boy-child was not that important (when in fact it was considered essential) and to puzzle the demons that surrounded him everywhere. >:D
fortunately i decided to abandon this way of thinking and I DO WISH A VERY BIG ROYAL NAVY SHIP.
if it comes with the nelson chequered hull, so much the better, (begining of the psychological approach) although that is not that important. in fact that would not be a good idea. the same applies to adding a crew just like the 3055 schooner with lots of sailors and marines and officers, and to a complete set of cannons and to an extensive group of extras to furnish the boat and its crew. these are not good ideas, really they must not be (end of psychological aproach). 8}
