Hi friends,
as you may know, I started with pure Playmobil and after some years, I decided, I like combining with other stuff, too.
If it fits to Playmobil, it´s okay for me.
That was the time, I stumbled over Sylvanian Families.
The houses, furniture and accessoires mend perfectly with Playmobil. Cars are too big, some chairs, too, but the rest...
And now Sylvanian has released a wonderful town. So all Victorian theme fans - here is the alternative!
(If you still have some money left...)
Have a look:
First the ORIGINAL:
-
And now with Playmobil:
ENJOY!
-
That is sooooo awesome!
I love the sylvanian stuff too, especially my favorite bread and the grapes!
Then there's the "single" vegetables and fruits... Still after the bananas!
I didn't know about this "sylvanian town" - my wallet is NOT happy with you.. just sayin' ;D
-
I saw this is the Guardian and did think some of it might work for Playmobil! Any chance you could post some pictures of the tram with Playmo people in it? I wondered if they would look OK together.
And another question - where are those trees from?
-
They go together perfectly.
-
The scale looks good but to be honoust I don´t like too much the colours of the shown Sylvanian houses...
I did get me a medieval Sylvanian knights´tent a few years ago, I think back then Erik made me aware of that one´s existence.

Sylvanian, Hadoque? Or Schleich?
I love both.. some stuff is amazing... unfortunately, I think BOTH manage to be MORE expensive than playmobil!

Wow, that works really well Daniela! Those street scenes with PM figures are magical, much better than with furry-animals-wearing-clothes, mW!
Those trees are really great- where do they originate?
-
Oh my god!!! you are killing me!
I love Sylvanian too, but I've never seen this town before,,,
Here in B.A. Sylvanian is VERY expensive.... I dare say even more expensive than PM. So far I haven't bought any and I hope I resist the temptation but you are making it hard. ;D

Ah... I get them mixed up sometimes... I think the tent may be Schleich, I should check.

I never saw anything of the sort with Sylvanian.. but I am not an expert..

Be careful, folks, if you get hooked, you are lost!
I know, what I am talking about. After 20 years, my Sylvanian collection is nearly as big as my Playmobil collection now.
The town is a new release in Europe, came out in Japan last year and started here now at the 1st of March, so it´s brand new.
I dreamed of it the moment I saw it first, last year. I knew, it will be a very expensive buy, but I MUST have it, so... :-[
And I thought, you will have fun, to see it.
To answer your questions, the trees are for LGB trains and I bought them long ago at a modelling train shop. Unfortunately, they are now discontinued and hard to find.
And here are the pictures of the tram with Playmobil.

That looks wonderful Daniela! It's really wonderful having international friends who are insane toy collectors. It makes me feel all sane and under control in comparison. ;)

Tim, it's usually the ones who see themselves as sane and under control who are actually most insane an out of control! :)

Thanks for the tram pictures!
There's a few Sylvanian sets I'd like for Playmobil - there was a windmill and a narrow boat when I was a kid that I liked, but as you say Sylvanian Families are more expensive than Playmobil, and even though it was very popular when I was a kid it rarely seems to turn up second hand

OMG ! As always, I am catching up late with the last Tram service but these pictures are fantabulous
Thank you so much for inspiring us with this beautiful New Town Series collection which I discovered just a few weeks ago and is the reason why I am back with a new project since the humungous Return to Regent St is far too big for my new flat in Marlow, UK.
Could you kindly please let me know where you got these beautiful trees from as they are very much in scale with the diorama ?
I so cannot wait to start my project when I look at your fabulous Sylvanian / Playmo Town :cloud9:

Hi Karim, already answered at the post before. ;)
