Excellent. <*) I'm most interested in the quiver in Set 9339. Hopefully it will be released in some colours other than pink in the future. ;)
-
The new legs design doesn't look to good. Reminds me of Playbig.
-
Great! I hope they will be available soon in the Belgian shops, I want that sheriff! I hope the Figures will be released soon as well!!!!
-
but the printing has improved.....her shirt goes around her back....they even bothered to print the folded parts of her pants in a different shade....I hope it doesn't make me feel like hiding away all those klickies without printing on their back :D

not quite sure how Playbig looked in those days but the details on her shoes look 'weak' for such a modern product

Looks Amazing, the new playmo friend

That looks to me to be made of a different colour plastic.

You're right, it is.
So is this the first piece that has four different colours of plastic in it?
-
You're right, it is.
you're both right...won't be easy to print color into the grooves of the folds....its nicer to have another color plastic moulded over...really raises the level of the quality of klickies

Not going to lie, I do not enjoy the change in the klicky, I am sure others before me said the same thing about the moveable wrist but this is starting to look like the evolution of Polly Pocket:

Thanks The_Mad_Hadder.. Scary stuff. (and I never had those, or found them interesting at ALL)
The speedos are skinny, the new fairys look sick. I wish that they'd freaking stop it. Playmobil are not/cannot be dress up dolls. They are klickys. If geobra wants to do those, go ahead. Just make something new, and stop ruining playmobil.
Now. Before it's too late.
-
They should have used a "standard" klicky with short pants for making a girl with a jeans-short. The pants/legs of this "speedo/swimsuit"-figure hurt my eyes.
-
The problem I have is they do not look the same, and at some point they may not even fit with old playmobil items such as vehicles, accessories etc.
-
Great link Hadder, interesting read. :thanks: She's written similar analyses of other toy lines - this is a page where all the links are collected: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/rachelmariestone/evolving-skinny-toys/
RE: PM, I hate to rain on people's parade, but it's already too late. The change has already happened. It's just a question of how much how soon now. The key change of course was the passing of the old guard, especially Brandstaetter. Once you take the human element out of an organization, it becomes just a machine, in this case a machine for making money. And PM is making money doing what it's doing. ::)
On the bright side they'll probably be trying lots of different things for a while, so we might get some nice historical stuff or throwback themes. :prays:

That's an interesting page in your link, Macruran. I certainly think PM figures could be accused of becoming skinnier over time.

Sofar the heads have remained the same, so we can´t call them skinheads (yet).

I wish. There's the silly super 4 heads - Alex's type and the fairies.
:wall: Worse is that they'd be soooo nice.
-
I'm also not a fan of the changes to the basic figures - the seperate legs are ugly, and lots of the random women can't sit down. They can't make a figure who can dress up properly, so why bother with these weird click on plastic dresses?

Exactly!
And while the speedos are too skinny, the dressed up klickys look like little barrels.

Don't the babies have more?

I only see three colours there - flesh, facial features and hair. I assume the head is separate from the body.

Nope, comes out of the machine like that! :o
So, 5 colors.
-
The babies and the chimps - and probably others - are molded as one piece, which is pretty clever. SOME people (not me :() have been to Zirndorf and seen this for themselves, as Tahra's picture shows (these are the sprues from the machine, I presume).

Well to be fair they got fatter first - remember that fat klickies were introduced some years after the original line - I think a decade or so! :hehe:
