Well, it is a bit like using the square hay bales for dioramas set before the late 19th century when they appeared. Prior to that hay was loose. Living history people get this wrong too and you often see wire bound hay bale bricks for atmosphere or seating. I'm not sure where it first appeared, but the hay press appeared around 1870, which means that there were no square looking bales during the US Civil War for instance or any time before that.

Regarding historical accuracy, I believe a carton of milk might not be as far off as some stuff we see in some produced sets.

I especially like the Asian laundry service, what a lovely idea. Oh and you removed the back from the saloon cupboard so you could use it as a room divider. That is so clever!

I could have done with a wee bit more rails and trains - but it's a gorgeous szene, no doubt! Those Indians and their Frankonian marked stall naturally are my favourites 8-).
