looks like my samurai army has finally reached a plateau.....not a single new part from Geobra despite so many launches of new
fi?ures, playmofriends(thanks for the lesson, Tahra), licensed klickies and sooooo many new sets for 2016/2017 ::)
(photo not clear...too wide for my old handphone's camera)

A very impressive line-up Master cheng! That photo does give an idea of the scope and scale of your army. I do hope we will continue to see your new creations and 'reaching a plateau' does not mean an end to your creativity, even if the latest parts aren't inspiring, or even useful. I cannot create great PM customs, but I know a man who can!

That's a great looking group of figures. A bit of patience and I am sure some new useful parts will come along. Anything from the upcoming licensed Dragons series maybe?
-
<3
And I am SURE you will find interesting parts for more... after all, if anyone can, it's you!
-
Nice, the flags really bring these figures to life.
-
thanks Playmofriends!
and Tahra has just given me a new idea to use those spacemen wrist computers as heavy lower arm guards to complement those bulky-what-you-call-those playmo-samurai-torso-tank-armour :P

I think its been 2 years....but you might be right....these new releases have been coming out fast and furious...maybe I've lost patience spotting for new parts...but always thankful for everyone's reviews and Heather's playmodb :)

Amazing and inspiring work.

finalized the Takeda & Mouri flags...my camera and lightings can barely take them by groups
(can anyone tell me why my photos still look small here compared to other members' photos, altho mine are above 90kb)

Superb customs, Master cheng, :wow: and the photos, although small, look fine and show your army off well.

There are two ways to display photos, cheng. Attachments (which you used) and links. With a link, the photo is stored on another website so it doesn't eat up bandwidth on this site. Each time a message is displayed on this site, the server fetches the picture data from the other site and displays it at the size it is provided, so all that is stored here is a small instruction about where to find the picture. (That explanation is probably totally wrong, but it's how I think about it!).
I think there is a topic explaining picture links, but I couldn't find it when I had a quick look just now. What you need is an account at an image-hosting website (I use photobucket, where you can get an account for free). You upload your pictures to their website, copy a link for each picture onto your clipboard and paste it into your message here at PF, using the 'image' button (or by typing [img.] before and [/img.] after the link, missing out the dots).
Hope that helps!

thanks Macruran &Gordon!
and big thanks for taking the trouble to repeat all these here GrahamB :)
....someday I'll upload my photos in the clouds but until then, at <100kb, that's as big as I can show my photos here.....nothing wrong with my photo editing software, then! :D

....someday I'll upload my photos in the clouds
I love that phrase, pure poetry. It could be one of Randy Crawford's:
"One day I'll fly away, find another site to post on.."
-
;D
I'd just like to add that
What you need is an account at an image-hosting website (I use photobucket, where you can get an account for free).
If you use imgur you don't even need an account. This is a little better because there is no storage limit for you.
Sadly though the fate of all image hotlinks seems to be to vanish over time. Look at posts in this forum from ten years ago: wildernesses of missing pictures.

thanks and right, when I check up old threads, some are with missing photos making the thread difficult to fully comprehend....no guarantee that any free storage will last for a long time :P

improved their flags and took individual group photos so they are easier to see but I didnt bother to reposition each man for the different angles nor will will see the helmeted samurai's faces since I'm taking from a higher angle to show the flags.....
-
I couldnt accept those pink purple playmo parts until now :-[
-
their death head kamon did not have cross bones nor lower jaws mostly
-
Your new photo angle shows off the quality of your work still more, cheng, and gives a good idea of how dramatic a samurai army would look in real life.
-
thanks Gordon...tried to improve my photo...this one's better from ground level

What happened to him!?

What happened to him!?
he had to lead the charge for forgetting his armour and wearing his personal flags instead of Takeda's ;D
-
Astounding work as always cheng. PM really should commission some designs from you.

Watch some Kurosawa movies.

I'm waiting eagerly.....those flags, hats, legs, hair and most belts are temporary till Geobra casts them ;D
I still remember those years when all we had was the old single Roman soldier without proper legs/sandals etc....and when Geobra launched those near-perfect Roman soldiers, everything we customised had to be decommissioned and reused in other armies? :P
i made some samurai.....waited year after year....made more and continue waiting and now so many 'temporary' samurai....will be heartbreaking when I have to decommission them (will never look as good as casted ones, to me at least :'( )

That is... doubtful. It's more the other way around - let's hope the playmobil ones come close to yours, master..
