Thanks for the link Andi. For those of us who do not speak German and do not frequent other forums, you are a life saver!
Edited after I had a chance to look at some of the new sets:
A new Templar! Excellent! And then a new skeleton pirate! Those are way at the top of my must-have list!
I also see that the micro-sets must be selling pretty well, since they are releasing new ones. The airport and the harbor look interesting.
The new road construction vehicles and sets look good and I am sure will make fans of the modern themes very happy - right Tim-W? ;) Personally I like the roller the best.

Thanks for the info, andi. I like the Unimog-type truck in the construction1 picture with the snowplough and gritter and the warning board on the trailer. I have a 1:16 Bruder version of each of these and they are very impressive. I have been looking for a suitable traile with a warning board on for a fire conversion.
The Unimog appears to have a HIAB-type crane fitted to it, something else I have been looking for in Playmobil scale for a long time. Recently I found one by a Finnish company in 1:24 scale and will be fitting it to a 3880 fire engine soon.
Maybe the micro-sets are a way of getting a lot of Playmobil in a small space for the collector with a small flat or house.
Nothing new in the fire line yet, though.

i do not see the pictures on the welt site ? do you need to be a member ? i want to see the new sets please help ???
-
I really love the new micro-sets.
Definitly want those; can't wait for Tristan to see them - he will love them!
I am a bit disappointed by the specials, though the crusader is great and both the archer and ghost aren't that bad. But then again - perhaps I will have to wait and see them. It wouldn't be the first time I got taken by a Special only after I had gotten it.

Again Playmobil excels iteself. There are again so much nice sets I must have so this time will again become quite expensive (although I still haven't organized all the dinosaurus sets I also want to have) ... :-\
Anyway Playmobil makes it much easier for me: I had on my customizing to do list a road sweep with closed cabin -- can be crossed out, because an original one will come. I had also a city service verhicle on my list, based on the new lorry coming this September -- can also be crossed out because the service vehicle that comes is even more versatile than I planned to do, so no need to do it by myself. And the other construction sets are also pretty cool with their new detailed items.

i love the new micro sets the most, although i'll probably buy all of the new sets anyway.
have you noticed the micro house is a new design so i guess that the large version will be released next year too. and have you also noticed it appears to have a conservatory on the side! how cool.
ooh i can't wait!
claire :)

new pirates, new pirates...
(and a new pirate child)
thanks andi and gordon, for the info.
:wow:
-
The new micros are adorable!
I wonder if Claire is right about the possibility of a new style of modern house with a conservatory being in the works. That would be exciting! :D
I also like the set with the sweet little paddling pool. I did wonder what the orange floating things were until a friend pointed out they were pool toys (probably a killer whale and the pirate raft, I'm told). Sometimes I overlook the completely obvious explanations. :-[ ;)
Thanks for the info and pics! :-*

Hi,

I've added all these new sets plus the twin-packs to PlaymoDB.
New Sets all on one page (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=4044,4045,4046,4047,4048,4049,4138,4139,4140,4141,4334,4335,4336,4337,4669,4670,4671,4672,4673,4674,5814,5815,5816,5817)
(I've used the posted pictures, but will replace them when they get put up on www.playmobil.de .) As always, anyone with inventory information, plans, clear un-accessoried klicky photos, or inclination to do some detective work re: part numbers, please please contribute!
Cheers, Heather

Super sets are great. Also some decent specials in the line up. Construction must be a popular line considering they seem to redo that line more than anything else.. I personally find it BLAH! Would love to see more historical sets.
-
That Templar Knight is a realy nice looking figure, I'm really looking forward to it's release. :)
-
the construction trailer looks like the old motorcycle trailer chassis . It looks also like it has the buttons for LED settings. Also the one set 4138 has building blocks or CMU's ??? is lego influencing this idea ??? first it was System X what now System Playgo ???
-
The micro sets will be interesting to see when they are up on Playmobil.de
I have all the animals otherwise on Animobil, and finally got the new German add-ons animals there as well. The Unicorn foal in the new add-on is a new variation.

The Bruder version has working flashing orange lights, so I assume the Playmobil version will have as well.
I noticed the building blocks when I had a closer look at the pictures and thought "That looks interesting". Maybe Playmobil are moving in on Lego's basic market in view of the problems Lego has had.
-
First of all thanks to Playmofire for getting the pictures. And secondly I must have the harbour set - craig

Good catch, Rasputin!
This is an entirely NEW set of interlocking building blocks that are totally different from anything ever produced by any company before. They may even be superior to Lego!
As you have already suggested ... Does this mean that Playmobil is going to finally offer a real construction toy?
Thanks again for spotting these NEW building blocks!
All the best,
Richard

Uh, :o I totally overlooked this set! This is terrific. Maybe the new family house becomse a Lego-like construction house ...
Anyway, the bricks for sure will have the one or other good use. (I'm impressed how easily the construction worker lifts this brick with one hand ... ;D)
-
A nice point of detail I've just noticed is that the pile of sand has a slot so you can have a spade sticking out of it.
-
Hi,
first i must say some to the Bricks !! It looks like a new idea for the Playmobil Theme !
This Bricks are cool for my Son (3,5 years old)! SystemX are a little to difficult form him yet !
1.2.3 Theme are a little to easy and not more interested for him !
This Bricks are easy to build some new Walls !!
I like it !! My son like all from the new theme what a big Christmas this year ! *lol*
Enjoy the pic !
I saw single Bricks ?! so you can make ending Walls ! great !
Yeah i hope for more Playmo-Bricks !

more.........
Love this rolling door !!
-
more.........
Love this rolling door !!
I do too - it would easily be made into one for a fire station!
If the new kommunal truck fits in there, then maybe there will be a fire engine based on the same truck.
-
here are some close up pics !
Andi
Thanks, for the close-up pictures, Andi!
Those NEW bricks are going to be wonderful!
If Playmobil would make Steck System and SystemX transition pieces that fit with the NEW bricks, they could actually have a really fantastic NEW Playmobil building system that would be so much better than anything that Lego has ever made!
ZIRNDORF, ARE YOU LISTENING?
Thanks again and all the best,
Richard

I've been looking more closely at the new building in the construction theme, and it looks like the same sort of set as the "carry about" dolls' house. If the size of the building is right, then it seems to need little or not customising to be a fire station. I just wonder if it will be possible to buy if through DS. Does anyone know if the house part of the "carry about" doll's house is available separately?
-
That was my impression as well Gordon. Great to see that the door does open, that makes it much more useful than the other take alongs.
-
ZIRNDORF, ARE YOU LISTENING?
:lol: :lol: no chance whatsoever, Richard ... we tried that at the german forum countless times 8}
-
no chance ???
*LOL*
spies are all over !!
spy greets
Andi
-
Thanks for the new pictures Andi! They look great.
- look at the new legs from the ghost pirate !
They look to me like some of the legs used in the Viking sets, but of course with new paint.
-
Thx for sharing the pictures
I'm looking forward to recruit the crusader(ssssssss) for my army ;D
I just discussed with my wife as from how many klickies you talk about an army. She said 20, which made me already pretty happy
As I pirate collector I should be happy with the new pirate stuff that will be released soon. However, I lost my heart to the 3x50 generation of pirates. And also the shooner types are pretty cool. The only thing I like about the new pirate ship are the double sails that I hopefully can use on other ships :)
-
... She said 20, which made me already pretty happy  ...
ooooh - you little devil - you tricked her !!!
Have to think of that one when I am discussing klickies with Wilma :-[

The new items are now on the German website so you can see more of them (there are a number of interesting new details clear in the road building sets and the "kompakt" set 4138 shows the box back). 2009 is going to be expensive for me, and that's before any new fire engines that year!
-
he´re's a closer look on the 4671 geisterpirat, already on display in the playmobil.de site
it will only be avaiable in the mid of january.
:'(
-
Slightly disappointed on the Ghost Pirate ... I had hoped he would really be green - but he's not ... It's the same body (more or less) as the ghost special :'(

That,s a nifty looking Pirate island. :yup:
Thanks for the pictures!
