When I first saw this set, I had a little conversation with myself, which went something like this:
Excited Me: Oh look! It's so pretty! I need this!
Sensible Me: And what do you think you will actually do with it? Your klickies never go on holiday, nor to the beach.
Excited Me: It's got a cool new turtle, and a blue-footed booby, and coconut drinks, and....
Sensible Me: ... None of which you have any use for.
Excited Me: I will use the coconut drinks!
Sensible Me: It's silly to spend €40 on two usable coconut drinks.
Excited Me: And all the rest! Don't forget the cool new turtle, and the blue-footed booby, and ... and ... everything that is pretty!
As you can see, Excited Me got my own way. And so this set arrived today.
I was surprised at the size of the box.

But the rock structure is a decent size and filled quite a lot of the box. The rocks have to go together with the grass and beach:

But once together, if you don't mind steps-to-nowhere, it can be used independently of the rest of the set.

And, to my surprise, there is a cave at the back!

I was looking forward to seeing the coconut drinks. The straw-part is the same as the top of the milk-shake-looking cups with straws; and there is a handhold on one side for the klickies. The tops-with-straws can be easily taken off again by pulling on the straws, should you accidentally put them on the wrong way round.

(You can also see a sand castle in that above photo. That is a loose piece, so can be placed anywhere.)
There are lots of other drinks too.

The three blue bottles are a lighter shade than previous blue bottles, as can be seen in the following photo, with two of the old bottles on the right.

The counter has a bamboo sticker to go on it, but I haven't yet got any stickers affixed. There is also a drinks list, and two stickers for the cartons of drinks.

I really like the shelf behind the counter. It can also be used on its own, for other scenes. In this set, it is connected to the floor, though, so it is difficult for adult hands to squeeze under the roof and put things on the shelves. Though I managed it eventually.

Here are the klickies which come with the set. The woman has her skirt on back to front, by the way. The front of the skirt actually has shape to it.
The boy has dark blue sandals/slippers, which I really like.

These are the tiny flowers on the woman's garland. I had four spares included too.

And this is the woman without her skirt. Unfortunately, although you can't see it in the photo, she has a scratch down one leg, another scratch across one breast, and blue marks from - I think - the blue surfboard that she was packaged with. The turtle also has some small blue marks.

But it can be put into other positions too. And I'm really not sure why I like that so much - but I do!

The Sensible Me side of me thought that this was a set I wouldn't use. But now that I've got it, I can see many uses for all parts of it. So it has turned out to be worth the price after all.

Oh man this looks like a great set. I really want it but will have to wait until next year for the whole thing. I will order some loose parts like the turtle though with my next order from Playmobil.de. Plenty of useful bits there, so will be happy to have extras. Just cant see spending international shipping for the big landscape pieces when I could just be patient and get them here eventually instead.

I actually hadn't realized there are blue bottles. I don't think we have any. They look great!
I hate the chairs though, both the color and the sculpt.

I've been curious about that necklace (of course, doesn't any dio need a bunch of them?).. Are the flowers compatible with the others? Can you put other flowers there?

Unfortunately, that is not a rare problem. You can probably clean it with an eraser, or a blade (not over other printing).

Thank you for the review Raven, that looks a great set with some interesting parts.
One thing I don't like though are the women's shoes - they look too heavy for the rest of her outfit. I feel she would be better with bare feet and sandals.

The garland flowers have the same size centre hole as all other flowers, so will fit onto any greenery. But they are much smaller than other flowers, as you can see.

I suppose she would be alright if she was scrambling across a stony or rocky beach, but I agree with you that the shoes seems totally wrong. Despite her high-strap bikini top, she will go and join the snap-on-dresses klickies, and not the swimsuit ones.

Thank you for the detailed explanation and pics :) It's great that they're compatible.. I suppose the smaller ones are way better for that garland, but they will probably be great as "regular" flowers - variety and all.

Thank you for the great pictures of this wonderful set. With that cave it is also usefull within a zoo enclosure. Very nice and desired set.
