is 30 61 1660 dark grey? can any Playmofriend let me know the L x B measurements of the rectangular board? (its the same size with the 30450210 in black)

Yes dark grey rather than black. The main board measurement  is 37mm by 60mm

and Tim or any playmofriend, when convenient, can i see how the leg is fitted to the board...is it a flip type or a fixed 'bayonet'?

My only concern for your planned use is that it may be a little too wide and not tall enough. It's about shoulder height on a klicky as you can see in the photo

its quite an impressive hinge....but youre right, still does look undersized....I'll have to look elsewhere :P
