Playmobil film producers hit back at Weinstein Company - link (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/jun/07/playmobil-film-producers-hit-back-at-weinstein-company)
Uhm...
And.. are those insulting remarks at the end?!
-
Yes... Yes they are... >:(
Some people are so rude and uninformed.

I meant the "twitts" - is that the name of those blurbs? - that are actually on the article. From a Chris Miller.
But now in the actual comments there are some pearls, including this guy that must live under a rock somewhere off Germany (cause there there probably IS playmobil under the rocks too, right?) >:D :
Wow I haven't seen a piece of Playmobil since 1989... Is this going to be a retro history drama?
-
Chris miller is one of the co-directors of the Lego movie I think.
Edit: he was one of the writers... And also the director... And is working on 3 more Lego movies... Gag
-
I think it was ok - the Lego movie, I mean.. - nothing great.
And having him insult playmobil.. well. Kindergarten language does not allow me to comment on it :P

Oh noes, Lego is no longer a special snowflake toy!
How dare some peasant toy think it worthy of movieland. 8}

I hate to say it but Miller is probably right. L*go is vastly more popular and famous than PM is. There's no guarantee of this movie being a success. I expect to see a number of toy movie failures.

Of course it is. Lego LIKES money. And don't deny themselves the opportunity to make more. Unlike SOME companies :'(

True, no guarantee, and yes, there are some... odd ideas out there - tetris movie, anyone!?
It's just the way he said it. He could say the same, without insulting us (an insult to playmobil, right? ;D) In his line of work... as we say here, he lost a good opportunity to stay quiet.

L*go also likes licensing any media property they can get. The day there is Harry Potter Playmobil is the day I am done.

Quite informative that article - I knew nothing about the Weinsteins prior that that reading. But the comments section is the real hero in that piece - comedy gold!

Are you telling me the Slinky movie is not going to happen?!?
