First train day 2016

Sunny day, no rain and 25 degrees: time to take the Playmobil train to the garden. Today I took locomotive 4010, tipper car 4112, pipe car 4105 and tank car 6309 with me to the camping site of my parents, together with an oval of LGB rails. Later this summer I will expand this layout, but the grass is not full grown yet. The tipper car and the pipe car are second hand cars, cleaned up and completed with original Playmobil parts. All cars have full metal wheels from Liliput (part number L999300). Tank car 6309 is new from Germany, and bought by an acquaintance living in Germany. Playmobil Direct Service was not willing to export this car to The Netherlands. Locomotive 4010 is also second hand and build up from two broken down locomotives. I sprayed the roof gray, like most TRAXX locomotives. Although the layout was very simple today, still some children came looking to the Playmobil trains. Of course I took some pictures although the sun was a little too bright due to the fact that there was not any cloud in the sky. But who is complaining on a day like this?

Looks like a wonderful day! Is the locomotive rc or did you convert to rail powered?

It is RC, like the original. I have a spare bogie, if I can find a 12 V= motor, I will convert it. My 4016 electrical multiple unit has both a RC and 12 V= bogie, so I can choose how to drive it.
