It worked so well with the medieval figures, so I started working on another of my childhood themes, first modernizing a few of the classic sets.
This time there is some printing left, a few skulls and eye-patches had to stay.

Those are really great too (like your medieval folk) :)
-
Great pirates: my favourite is the one in the yellow hat.
-
Fantastic additions to the pure line. :)

Thanks a lot for your kind words. Let's go on:

Oh, the brownish ones
(1st + 3rd pics, guys on the right)

They look really great!! Thanks a lot for sharing.
George. :)

The variety is astounding.

If the Gnomes of Zirndorf don't give you a job designing sets, they are WAHNSINNIG.
-
All of them look really cool. The peg-legged trio in the last group are posed very well.
Do you ever do large shots of all of them (not only your pirates)? Or do you use the parts from some of them to make more?
-
Nice work I've lost track of trying to spot any favourites although I did particularly like the guy wearing a waistcoat in the first photo, with some of those great groups you could create a fine harbour community keeping busy around the docks :arrr: :captain:
-
Well, it is something completely different without any prints.
Some very nice ones among them!

George.

Some very nice ones, though not all of them are quite up to my taste.
And I see you cleaned off the (usually) cool printings of several longcoats... that is something I havenĀ“t dared yet (though I have multiples of most longcoats) as I anticipate future customising-opportunities/-ideas for those coats.
-
@Hadoque: cleaning off the printing is the concept of my "purist" series. So there is nothing I can do about it (.....I use the printed ones for other figures). I want to recreate the look of our old klickies. So be brave: more clean coats to come.

Aha, you too are using those Elvish-legs as "torn pants" for pirates/sailors. :)

I wish we could buy a dozen of them... and nice colors too!

There's been a few tv series set in this time now - Black Sails, Turn, Frontier. Great to see it in playmo form.

I just found this thread now - thank you so much for sharing these beautiful, great customs!

Great new ones :)
And a good idea with that grey neckpiece...
-
Gosh that top guy with the tan hat is amazingly good. Great merchant useful for a couple of hundred years of history probably
