I looked around a bit on the museum shop site but didn't find it, I may have overlooked it though.

Yeah, when I saw that, it was on THAT site. Now I see it on the pcc too.

So, will there be a group order?  0)

I KNEW, this question would come!

I am already working on it!

Have sent a mail to the Museum Shop, waiting for answer.

So don´t worry, will open an order thread soon.  ;)

Thanks Daniela! Looks like this INCREDIBLY DESIRABLE PIECE won't be in the special sale and isn't shipped overseas (so I hear) so this is our only chance!

On the bright side, not being in the special sale means we can ebay the heck out of it! :D

Daniela - I would like join the group order but when I click the link it says it is missing or off limits.  Am I doing something incorrect?  Thanks.

Thanks, but still same message. Is this a link to the PCC section of the forum?   Do I need to be approved to get access?

It is here for all on this forum, not just for PCC members. Go to Trading Post, then go to the topic:

Collective order 6779 Friedrich der Grosse

Then follow her instructions for getting on the list. Good luck!

Thank you for helping me out (and believe me I feel like a moron) but I can't seem to find the Trading Post section anywhere on the forum.  Is it a sub-forum to one of the main sections?  I'm mainly a lurker here so is it a hidden section that a newbie is not allowed to access?  My apologies if I'm being dense.

I don't think the Trading Post is restricted to PCC members.

You need to go to the Forum index page. This is the main page where all the boards & sub-boards are listed. You can get there by hitting the orange HOME button at the top of each page here on the forum.

Once there, scroll down until you see MARKET PLACE highlighted in grey-blue. Under that is the TRADING POST. Click on that link. Let me know if this works, :-)

The Marketplace board is not visible to Craig because he hasn't reached the Playmo Enthusiast level yet  ;)

Thanks to JLMatterer and Birdie for helping me figure this out.  I've been a member here for a long time (since 2007) but have been more of a lurker. I've certainly never considered buying and selling so never gave a marketplace/trading board a second thought.  I'll send a PM to Daniela and hopefully she will let me join the group buy.  JLMatterer was kind enough to add my name to the list.  This has been a little wake up call for me to get more involved on these forums. Thanks to all!
Best,
Craig

Nice figure! Just how fast it appeared on FB shows that the PCC confidentiality isn't working very well. Perhaps it is silly, but by signing up one should be ready to accept membership rules. :-\

I too am grateful for pointing this out! I did wonder why I couldn't access sale or search links that appear in some member signatures. What number of posts marks the threshold? I guess I better up my posting, which isn't always easy, seeing that PF slowly but surely appears to fade into extinction... Still, good to see that this nice new (leaked!) release brings back some life!

Best wishes

It's actually not a PCC issued item so it doesn't really apply.  The museum is the ones paying for it to be produced, and thus there was no confidentiality to it.  The PCC was introducing it to members so that they could make provisions to get it if they so chose.

i'm glad to see another museum stepping up and producing a historical figure. I've got a couple other of the past issues to catch up on and get, but I am glad to add them to my collection!

The PCC does not issue any items; it conveys information from the company before public dissemination to those willing to pay for a seat in the first row. So the confidentiality requirement should apply here just as much. Still, I guess it is not as bad as leaking the upcoming catalogue, but, as a stickler for principles, I think it should be applicable here too, no matter who ordered the new product.

I completely agree!! There is a world to win out there, and so many more would be so very well received by adult collectors! I wish Geobra will develop this line. Just today, the new CEO (http://www.br.de/nachrichten/mittelfranken/inhalt/playmobil-vertriebschefin-heinrich100.html) was announced, so let's all keep our fingers crossed that she embraces the idea.

Best wishes

I do wish they'd stop using that sword for historical figures. It's not the right one.

Saying the forum is fading into extinction is a rather pessimistic view. For a forum this place is doing great, imo  ;D Especially with all the new media around.

Back on topic: I love this new figure   I'm sure they'll keep releasing sets like this because they are clearly popular.

I put this here because I saw it on THAT site. Only a couple of hours later I saw the pcc newsletter and went to peek there...

I still think it's very very lame to find out things there, instead of on official playmobil pages :(
