I think if the guy had advertised the auction "Walking dead plane crash Playmobil Diorama" he could have made a lot more money!

Does anyone knows what set is this from? I never saw this biplane in blue. I think it could be TROL.
-
Awesome find! But yuck!
-
:o nice plane, just love the old biplane but this one in blue and those wheels looks great .
-
Haha! That was a little bit filthy! But you cleaned it up nicely. That plane does look good in blue.
-
Looks like that clicky wet his pants. :-[
-
Only know this one in green, blue and clean it is very pretty!
-
Excellent job on the cleaning! :)
-
Gorgeous little plane, and great clean up!
As to the award.. not sure it beats that green kart... In addition to the filth, something cocooned in it, found when I disassembled to clean and replace broken parts :P
Oh... and the barge's hull... not AS dirty, I think, but it WAS peed on... Does that count?

Oh I was counting among my purchases :lol: but I think yours beat this one anytime!
-
Well, think of it this way - if it hadn't been a disgusting mess, we never would have got your funny pictures about how awful it was!
And it cleaned up very well!
-
It cleaned up nicely! I think it's sad that someone listed this for sale and didn't bother to clean it. I would be embarrassed!
-
OH! and I forgot to take pics of the "box" it was shipped in.
If two squares of cartboard and 4 pounds of newspaper can be called a "box". ::)
I love the plane though. Even with the big weird wheels.
-
That wasn't too bad. I recently got a 3958 and when I carefully opened the box, I was greeted by a bug. Or a roach. Not sure what it was but I made sure to get that box out of my flat asap. Had to finish the unboxing out in the cold and then spent 5 hours cleaning all of the various bits and pieces. The cleaner I used was so nasty that the skin on my hands is peeling but it was well worth it.
-
Nice find, Tonguello. Shame about the filth, but it cleaned up well.
My worst experience was some Steck with rat teeth marks on it, I think it might have been a pet rat, but even so.....
I can't match the cockroach or kiddypee experiences, but I am always keen to clean secondhand PM thoroughly, especially in case the brown stains aren't chocolate....
-
Eeeew! Very impressed that you have done such a good job to restore your purchase!
-
I can't match the cockroach or kiddypee experiences, (...)
The barge was dog pee. It was a dog. It WAS a dog. It better have been a dog.
-
Still eeeeoooowwww!
-
That plane is an absolute vintage beauty glad you managed to clean it up and get it back to it's former glory love the hazmat guys cleaning it . Feel sorry for that poor klicky being pronounced dead even if he was a bit discoloured do you have any idea what that gunk was on his head? didn't look nice

Nice, never a good sign when something decides to make a cocoon inside your Playmobil sets or pee on it although I suppose if it was a dog at least that's a reasonable explanation, still I can understand people selling filthy playmobil but, when you can smell urine on it surely you'd at least give it a hose off first unless you're nose blind

Again not the sort of thing you want spreading its droppings and therefore diseases all over you and your playmobil

I did find the barge hull next to the trash bins.. and I assume (may the gods make it so!) it was a dog that peed on it... which would be natural... A human would be DISGUSTING. So, I'm assuming it was just a friend I never met ;D

according to the Tricornejock forums (http://www.tricornejock.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10548&p=81580&hilit=plane#p81580), this is a TROL plane indeed ;-)

Yes, sorry I forgot to comment about that.
An Argentine collector has confirmed to me that it is a Trol set, #23716.
