This is a review of two sets, the ice machine and the referees, both in their Official National Hockey League versions. These two sets are also in an unlicensed version out in Germany now numbered 6193 for the Ice Machine and 6191 for the Refs.
First up the Zamboni - note that Zamboni is a brand name and is copyrighted etc so only the NHL version has the name on it

The Contents - a pretty simple set for parts

Note there is one small label sheet with the generic labels on it, and five sheets of stickers having the team logos for the full NHL. You put the team logo on the heed of the Zamboni, though I left that off since mine will mostly be doing duty at the North Pole. The Zomboni name and NHL logo are printed directly on the chassis. I don't really care about the NHL logo but did want the Zamboni name.

The silver part at the back goes down for melting/cleaning the ice and up for regular driving.

The klicky is quite nice and comes with black gloves and a hockey helmet.

A pretty nice set, not a lot to do with it but run it back and forth across your ice rink, but still a fun additional set to have and a critical part of any ice rink diorama. I am happy with it and glad they produced it.

The Klickies and Cup

Pretty simple really, the Cup and two figures, different arms with one having colored bands on it. Each gets a whistle, a hockey helmet, and skates.
One important point is that the legs on these are the same type as the rollerblader. The skates clip in like the rollerblades do. What this means is that you can take any of the rollerblade or even some space theme legs and clip in the ice skate clips. That's going to come in handy for a skating rink diorama. The ice skater in Girls Figures Series 3 had the skates molded on to the speedo style legs. Also happily these skates were used in the 5993 Multi-SPort Boy carry case so the part number is available 30 08 6060. I hadn't noticed since I didn't pick up that case, but will need to get some extra skates and convert a few rollerbladers at some point.

That's it for this review. Nice to have and useful for hockey especially. I think they did a nice job with them. I don't have any interest in the players from this series, though may get the rink set from the generic series or if it goes on sale some time. Thanks for reading

Thanks for the review. For SOME reason, I really like the ice hockey sets... Don't know much about the game - we're all about roller hockey here...
I would like that set though... the ice machine, I mean.. the other.. not sure. Actually I also quite like the players (non-crippled). :-[
As to the ice skates, these are as they were originally. The figures woman with the molded skates was an aberration...

I do not follow the NHL but still want all the teams. I do want to see how the bent parts work.

Nice enough sets not really my thing but, hey if can afford to have a machine to melt and clean your ice that's pretty posh in my book or maybe it's just me being as gardener having to clear snow and ice with a shovel (the ones that can drive can use the tractor bucket though)anyway neat little machine the klicky's nice and referees are good certainly need those gloves though, that's good that you can remove the ice skates and old robot klicky I picked up has the same slots for roller blades I think (not Evil Robots On Ice)
