Well finally we were able to find a workable city house to buy ::)...inlaws :-\
The new city house is small and we will need every inch for the teenagers. looking to add a second story... asap

The boys and I packed it all up and shipped it off to pasture....very depressing realization...the boys are grown

This is the right side
Farm on top, police, fire and cars in the middle and boats and shipping depot on the bottom shelf. On the floor is a camp ground and my sons beaver class display dio.

This was about 1/4 of the over all collection and was at the city house. The rest is already at the farm either in trailers or in the barn
Now its all at the farm needing a thourough organization 8}

Aw, it's so sad when kids start getting "too old" for playmobil. But then before you know it, you'll have grandkids who love going to your house! ;) Very nice custom school. :)9

Thanks to you for the schools, in your honor it's called the "bb elementary school" it's only an elementary school due to lack of teenagers ;)

Life goes on, as it does, but I'm pretty sure after the teenage phase they'll start missing it :)
I totally want to spend a few weeks in that barn ;D It looks like soooo much fun to mess around in, with all that space and so much stuff. Awesome.

I'm also moving it's a lot of work, but the sorting at the new house will be fun ;D

My nephews are at that age too, the youngest of the two just turned twelve and already moved to the next school.
I'm not sure if he still plays with playmobil, I know his brother doesnt anymore though.
Currently I have no one in the family to give playmobil for their birthday. Well my niece is two and a half so she will get some 123 playmobil for christmas from me, but 123 isnt the same. She just does not really play yet, mostly just tossing stuff through the room.
Personly I was 15 before I truly put it all away, before then I still felt more like a child than an adult.

Impressive collection. Seeing the box with the purple BMX bikes made me chuckle a bit. I love BMX bikes but I had never seen this many in one spot before.

Thanks, it's all moved but now sitting in loaded trucks or in the shop/ garage at the farm.
Quite the nightmare really, never thought moving a block away could be so troublesome.
Can't wait to have a real winter in California so I could spend time organizing.
Looking forward to no more home remodels also so I can put on train shows again
The collection is sitting idle for now.

It is though isn't it? Mine is in boxes due to lack of room, but seeing stuff you haven't seen for awhile, even if it's just opening up a box to add new stuff to is almost like getting it new again.
It's also a chance to reassess your layouts doing a move like this. From chaos comes new life.

Your boys will love to come back to it later, hopefully you will always have a place to keep it safe. My children are in their mid 30s and so glad I kept their favorite things. I never got over my mother tossing my shoebox full of original Beatle cards!

Wow what a collection! Don't be sad, think of the amazing memories you have given to your boys.
They may temporarily move on but I'm sure they'll return to the world you created for them at some time in the future.
Until then create some more masterpieces from that fantastic hoard - a castle for clowns, what a brilliant idea - do you have any photos of that?
