I don't think I want a car that moves backwards (very likely into a third car) on its own. I hope the actual safety feature is better.

Can't engineers ever leave well enough alone. this is teaching a kid to try to crash a car so when he grows up he will be an interestin adult have on the highway

I think the children would learn something better if the wheels locked or a warning siren was sounded. I think parents might prefer the first option though.
