Wonderful carriage custom Neo!

Nice work. The "problem" I have with it: it's not Playmobil. So it's like train people show us other brands in a Playmobil forum. The popular trend now is even: everything of a figure except the head comes out of the resin mold or 3D printer.
Excellent craftsmanship, no doubt about that. You didn't transform the Playmobil coach into your version. You just mad a complete new one.
So what I really don't understand: if you want to be historical correct, why would you make Playmobil size figures with these unnatural proportions? Why don't you print a complete new figure?
To me, it's like collecting stamps and just printing the ones you don't have - or even create your own new stamps.
Don't get me wrong: it's excellent work, very nice to look at. But it has lost the charm of the toy I like. It's too perfect. And it's not even Playmobil. It's modeling.
Cheers,
HDL

Great work, the wagon looks splendid! 8-)
But I agree to a certain degree with Hauden_Lukas; somewhere the line between still being Playmo or not becomes sometimes rather vague.
That is why I too don´t use printed or self-moulded accessories or anything on my custom-figures, a bit of manual paintwork is the limit for me. For buildings or vehicles I tend to accept a somewhat higher degree of customization, but I regard even my own flagship "Redoutable" - made by top-customizer Playmoleo from The Netherlands - as "sailing" on the edge of still being Playmobil.

I love that wagon! Did you use the original wagon and modified it or have you built a complete new one? Great details; the different sized wheels, the chains, the paint (looks like real wood!) The new horses are better fit for this job than the second type, indeed.
thanks for sharing!

Oh my, it's absolutely gorgeous
I agree it looks so realistic, down to the wood 'texture', the slightly worn look, the chains & the cloth, the customized hats for the clickies...
For me, it doesn't matter one bit if it's Playmobil or not, as long as it matches the scale and looks good 8-)
I am always on the look-out for stuff that matches, for instance Schleich or Sylvanian items.

Beautiful wagon! Excellent workmanship. :wow:
Jimbo :cowboy:

Great job! Your 'weathered' paint job is amazing! Having just painted a (simple, straightforward) piece of Playmo myself for the first time recently, I can really appreciate the talent and skill to do something so much more complex.

It looks great!! Excellent job!! Thanks for the tutorial!

Great tutorial! :wow:

I hadn't realised just how much was non-Playmobil until seeing your tutorial. Your 3D pieces turned out great.
-
I agree with Salamander's comment, so your tutorial clarified what Hauden-Lukas said about it being "not Playmobil" which I didn't really understand. The bed of the wagon and the canopy are PM, the rest is pieces created by 3D printing.
I think this is fantastic modelling! Not only does the painting make it look like it's made of real, weathered wood and metal, but (as Birdie said) the texture from the printing process adds to the similarity with real wood (seen on the axle of the fourth-from-last picture especially).
It's a personal choice as to whether one thinks this belongs on a PM website, but I love it!
I love those weird hats too!
-
Beautiful custom your soldiers should consider themselves very lucky it looks very realistic particularly the material on the cover and the paint job is great as well. Also loving those soldiers and the dog is beautiful

Great job!
Nice to see the build fase.
