They have a certain quaint charm with them, especially the Adler like one.
-
Love the small open seating ones, especially with the canopy. Very like trains you might see in zoos or parks here in the US sometimes.
-
In the Amstel Park in Amsterdam there is such a train, but that one is pulled by a little diesel locomotive.
It is quite hard to find Faller Play Train in The Netherlands. Oft I have to find about three sets to complete one in working order. The other parts that are not broken are saved as spare parts. On August 8th I hope to collect the second diesel traincar.

My first thought as well. Not to forget the twin axled truck!
Great!
Thanks for sharing.

@ Junker Jörg, can you place pictures of your train :picsplz:
-
I could if I had - it's wrapped and packed in boxes and I hardly have any proper pics of my former "layout". Könnte ich, wenn ich welche hätte. Im Moment ist meine Bahn in Kisten verpackt, und vom letzten Aufbau gibt's kaum gute Bilder.

OK, well, I cannot ask you unpack all the boxes.
Faller trains are so rare that I am always very anxious to see pictures ;).

Very cute trains. The colors are perfect for a carnival or fair dio. I wonder what they would look like in traditional realistic colors?
If they were not so rare in the us I would consider getting one

Walthers made one set under license from Faller under the name Rocky Mounten Express. But that is as little as I know.
