Yesterday I went to Playmobil fun park in Athens which is closing down for the summer season this week and reopening in September at a complete new location .
I bought some animals for Sophie ( 4348 , 4347) and a few more forest animals and pigs for my medieval set up and also my first 6004
The 6004 picture is very captivating with the giant green troll. I love its design and looks , very compatible with playmobil as well as folklore pictures. As you will notice the box i bought had a spare chain ring . The Troll itself is of good plastic quality and not the plastic quality I came across with the knight dragons a few years back which was disappointing in my opinion and cheapish. Plastic was good old Playmobil and the Troll is an impressive future classic playmobil. I will be getting more as I wiould like to create a small dwarf mine/keep in my world of Krull. The dwarfs are impressive, love their colors and parts used. Their weapons are good and the hammer stands out. I would have liked some shields on them , round type , like the 3669 brown one for example though i must say . All together an impressive set , a small group of say 10-12 of these trolls would be an impressive set up and I hope to show here my drarf keep soon. need to figure out how to build a 50+ strong dwarf army now !!!!

Thanks for the review. For some reason it looks like a mix up of classic fairy tale creatures mixed with futuristic fantasy weapons. I do not know why but the big club, ax and hammer look odd to me in this set?

Club is a bit too big, the hammer personally i really like it but the axe is awful and very fake. In my upcoming dwarfs/trolls keep i will keep them big clubs ( nothing else i can use !) , probsbly keep some of the big hammers but these awful axes wont be used but rather replaced with the standard classic ones which are far more realistic. These axes have such a strong dragons sets dna, these green / red dragons were awful imo in terms of plastic quality and design of armor and weapons, thanks god the latest sets are closer to the older ones and far more realistic.
BTW there are only two sets with dwarfs, i wonder what will be the best way to built a dwarf army ( dwarf legs and custom klickies not an option for me...) ??? ??? ???
;D

I have a feeling that geobra will continue with the dwarves. I do not know for sure and a lot of hope is sprinkled in, but I see more dwarves in the future. I too will be looking for an easy way to build dwarf armies right off the shelf, no time to custom build or auction hunt either. A dwarf 3 pack or even a dwarfen family would be perfect. A baby dwarf would be adorable

Great review, Giorginetto. :)

Thanks for the review, I have one on the way and should be here Monday. I really like the dwarfs too.
I would think the dwarf in the treasure with lights set would be good for army building since you can also use the lights in multiple places, and more treasure always makes your dragons happy.

I like your logic. :P

There was also a dwarf a couple Series back, 6 maybe. So there have been two Figure dwarves so far.

There is also an asian dwarf in one of the asian dragonland DS sets.
And it is a great set for sure this one, I couldnt resist getting it either. The troll will definatly be usefull for an upcomeing fantasy story and the dwarves are neat too.
Nice that you had an extra chain ring. Personly I had an extra dagger instead. Which was actually quite good for me since I didnt have many of that design.

Ah, yes, of course. You are both right.

I think I have a spare Asian dwarf from that set. (I only wanted another normal-looking samurai). So if someone wants it, let me know.

I havent given much thought to them lights .. they will sure make an impressive set up !!! I have thought to make a tall twin tower keep ( i already have made one but probably make it a bit bigger ) but not sure where i will find the space to set it all up. anyways i will be getting more dwarfs very soon !!!
