With the recent news of the US exclusives, a few quite welcome, and the US's supreme courts decision I really think its time for geobra to celebrate fredom of will and release a few duo-packs from the LGBT community. I am not sure how to represent the klickies but I am sure the design team will figure it out.

:( you americans always think the whole world knows what you are talking about.
>:( i had to look-up and try to find what it was you meant, rasputin.
:) so that everyone else (the other 5 active members of this forum) knows what you are talking about, the DECISION is that gay marriage should be allowed all over the united states.
-
i think rasputin might mean something like these.
... wait a minute, they just look normal.
... and they all have already a playmo version (not the soldier).
wouldn't it be great if we could identify lgbt people easily?
maybe if they could all had a different skin color.
blue?
p.s. just in case someone has any doubts, i'm kidding.

It is a bit quiet at the moment!
I though LGBT was a reference to those Playmobil train set locomotives, until I read Rasputin's post properly!
I never knew Smurfs were LGBT, thanks for pointing that one out cachalote!
Whatever the US supreme court rules, Geobra won't produce LGBT duo packs unless they think they will sell. And I bet very few families would buy them for their children, however worthy the promotion of equality is. Promoting heterosexuality seems to be what most parents do, in my experience. Especially with children in the under-10 age group.
-
I dont see a need for this since Clickies do not have a set sexuality. They are whatever a child wants them to be.
They already sell plenty of duopacks with two men or two women, though it tends to be two pirates, two soldiers, two fairies or such. Maybe those are all meant to be couples? ;)
Kids will put whatever clickies they like together, relatively few clickies are sold as a complete family after all. Often its one parent with children and kids may just not like the shirt of one of them and replace that clicky with someone they like more.
I've only ever had one gay clicky and that was the tower herald with his pink shirt and curly hair, even as a child me and my sister portrayed him as gay or at least very feminine. But while this was for laughs that clicky was just as much accepted as anyone else by us. Pretty much the same as how I portray him now in my stories.
We never did give him a partner though as far as I know, but as a kid I personly had little interest in playing out couple stuff.
But bottom line is that each clicky is a blank slate. Their name, personality, orientation and such is all for their overlord to decide.

While the thought is a nice one Walter, I agree with Rhalius that it's been pretty well covered already. It's all in the eye of the beholder on this topic, and there have been lots of two-packs that would fit fine.
While we are on the topic of US exclusives, there's at least one excellent one coming up. The only thing that makes a difference for many sets are things like signage where they use the comma instead of the decimal when writing prices.

Whoever made that up is going to the special hell! Along with the idiot that figured to write the date in different ways. >:( >:( >:( We hates them.

But that's how it's supposed to be ;D

Being a European too, my first thoughts similarly went to the LGB Train community...
I hope there exists no toybrand called Gaymobil,.; that would add to the confusion. :P

we do need more Village People, not just in the medieval theme!
-
:) it seems that all we need to do is to come up with an idea only to know that someone had it before and built it.
;) i have another one, an imperial warship filled with extra parts, a lot of real sailors instead of redcoats or bluecoats, real string rigging, metal anchors, a good name (we all know the schooners are actually topsail cutters) and impecable sails (without holes).
if this is to difficult to make, i am sure playmobil already has a prototype that can show us.
p.s. a "liaison" officer between geobra and playmo-forums should be mandatory.
imagine a member called "playmo-factory" that could hear our ideas and make them happen and then let us know in advance.

Tiermann mentioned in another thread that he's on good terms with a PM employee of some rank, so there is groundwork.

::) wait a minute, maybe tiermann is a geobran spy just pretending to have a zirndorfian friend of some kind...
