Today i unpacked my Lifetex Kids, by Wella Prince and Princess.
The boxes are pretty straight forward Specials boxes. The only new thing is the extra print on the boxes, stating they are Lifetex Kids by Wella on the front side.
These sets were given by Wella to the dkhw.de (http://www.dhkw.de). This is a charity for children and they used the sets, as prices for a lottery or something like that. The original boxes were giveaways which were handed out by salesman from Wella to customers.
I like both figures, and they look hansome together. Weird thing is that the prince looks more equipped and the princess is barefooted ??? :eh?:
Weird choice by both Wella and Playmobil in my humble opinion.

I like them, they are nice clean simple designs. You're right, odd that she's barefoot. Perhaps the enemy knight rode up at like 6 am and she was still in the middle of getting ready for the day, hence the mirror and no shoes. The prince probably already suspected trouble so was halfway into his gear when Sir Badintent crested the ridge.
-
I agree regarding her shoes..
I really like his torso - very very nice.
(guess you did have a mountain of blue boxes! :) )
-
Sir Badintent - great name!
I like the prince. The princess is not terribly exciting.
-
To me it seems like the princess is in her nightgown though some slippers or such would be nice still.
That prince looks great, can be used as a nobleman. Just needs a mandolin to give that princess a serenade before she goes to sleep. :)

On closer inspection, I have to say I dislike that sword, in any set. I know of no historical sword with a hilt like that. In this set especially, the plain cross-hilted sword would have been suitable.

I think the sword is pretty, but not for that belt. It's far too big - it doesn't fit. It has to be used on the back... Like the older longswords.
-
true, i forgot this in my review :-[
the sword is way too big. It really only just fits in, but you have to wiggle and push it in.

 That sounds just right!
I kinda like the princess in her simple gown. But what I really don't like, and it's a thing with so many royal clikies, is short sleeves. That looks so strange to me, on a medieval gown.
-
For a nightgown those short sleeves arent that bad, I think she is best used for bedroom setups, like a noble lady going to bed, or getting a serenade.
Have to agree about that sword though, it kind of works when not for a belt but it really doesnt go in a sword belt. I prefer the regular longsword by far for that. Its nice to have some variations but not that many.
I rather see them make a medieval shortsword instead, lenght of a gladius but with a medieval hilt.

Very nice figures. Thanks for the pictures.
George. :)
