Horst Brandstätter passed away on June 3rd. Statement (http://pcc.pm/group/pcc/forum/topics/obituary-for-playmobil-head-horst-brandstatter) just made by the PCC.

Rest in piece dear Horst, and all the best to the Brandstätter family, in blood and in figure.
Thank you for all you have done for this world!

thank you for everything, for a lot.
for being the best godfather a toy could wish for.

I just read the sad news and felt the urge to come here. Rest in peace, Mr. Brandstätter. If one's aim in life should be to leave the earth a better place than you found it, Horst Brandstätter was certainly a human to succeed with this challenge.

I've just heard too. So weird it just came out but it was 5 days ago.
 I'm so sorry.  :'(
 May he rest in peace.

:sorrow: :sorrow: :sorrow: :sorrow: :sorrow: :sorrow:

Just saw this too. So terribly sad. :'( :'( :'(

-
A great loss to the world, but he leaves a great legacy.

-
				Very sad news  :(
It is good to know though that he made arrangements for the company to continue as he would have wished.
-
Very sorry to hear it, I hope he got to do in life all the things he had wished to do.

-
				HOB will certainly be missed.
However, because he was a man of vision, he has left a great team behind to keep his Playmobil ship afloat.
Let us all wish Judith Weingart and Steffen Hoepfner our very best.
-
				 :(

-
				RIP HOB

Thanks for all you business knowledge in making playmobil such a success.

Perhaps the management team could make a commemorative set of HOB and Hans.
-
Rip herr horst, and condolences to the brandstatter family.

I wonder what this means for PM in the longterm, and whether his successors will stick to his somewhat antiquated way of running the company in recent years.

Still, thanks for everything you've ever done for children worldwide.
-
				Thank you Mr.Horst B :'(

Still, thanks for everything you've ever done for children worldwide.

...and for those "grown up" children that still like to play :)
-
The news of his passing made it to the press here.
I don't know about TV but it's on the newspapers...   :'(
-
Geobra's spokesperson said he died of a terrible but very short disease.

-
do you think a joint message from all of us playmofriends to hb's family would be doable?

-
how would we contact the family?
 through the pcc maybe?
-
				RIP Horst  :sadklicky:

I admire his insistence (mentioned in the PCC article) that the company manage without him while he went to Florida, rather than micromanaging. It was wise to prepare them to ''keep the ship sailing'' when he was no longer able to do so.
-
				May He Rest In Peace

He has left behind a great legacy, that so many of us got to share a part of.
-
				Very sad news!
 RIP Mr Brandstätter. :(
-
News made it to newspapers here as well... And all over, I think.

-
				R.I.P .....

-
				So sad  :(
It's in the newspapers here too.

do you think a joint message from all of us playmofriends to hb's family would be doable?

If it is at all possible, through the PCC maybe like Tonguello suggests, I think it's an excellent idea.
-
