Title: New and Improved Zoo Diorama!

I have finally completed my newest version of my zoo. :love: I'm pretty pleased with the way it has turned out. I decided to use green felt for grass this time, and add sidewalks, to make it all look more realistic. Hope you enjoy the pictures! I took plenty of them.  ;)

That is awesome!!!  :D  I especially like the gift shop, the cafetaria and the shark building. It's great to see how you made the animals look like they're posing naturally, like the swimming seal on its back, the sitting flamingoes and the hippo's head above water.
The water looks amazing, as usual  :)

It looks very beautifull, you really made quite some improvements since the last zoo, though that one looked beautifull as well.  :)

I gues the new zoo theme inspired you to set it all up again, and you really used the new elements nicely, and many other new stuff too! that shark tank is amazing!
There is just so much to see here, I definatly have to take some more good looks at it all. You posed the clickies and animals in great ways again, all the families together.
Some kids seem very happy about going to get something to eat, some enthusiastic kids at the entrance too!

I'm a little concerned about the big elephants behind the small wooden fence though, but they might be well trained to stay behind it.  ;)

That's great!

Love the tire hanging from the tree, and the colorful caps (?) and fans in the giftshop - those are beautiful :)

Very interesting use of the indian baby carrier.

And as usual, it is amazing how you can fit so much stuff from so many themes in the zoo..

Birdie, the hippo head is one of my favorite touches. Chris used his dremel and cut it for me. I was hesitant to sacrifice one of them, but really, hippos look most natural when mostly submerged, anyway.

Rhalius, that fence just looks like wood. It's actually steel-re-enforced concrete. ;)

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  I love the Shark Exhibit and the use of the clear glass for bird enclosures!  Once again you've done a fantastic job (and once again I feel like such a slacker for being so far behind on collecting the items I want for my zoo.)

Is your avatar anywhere in the zoo by the way? I can't seem to find her. I remember you forgot to put her in last time, did this happen again?

Maybe you could make a little story focused on her sometimes, or maybe a collection of pictures of how her day goes? Its a beautifull setup for a story.

I had a good time this morning visiting your zoo. Thank you for all the detailed pictures you shared. This version is so pretty. I love the lion view restaurant. The chairs look great in there. Your souvenir shop is also a juwel for the eyes.

All these exhibits look so natural and green. The animals must have a good time and so do all those lovely families. I like the triplets with their blond hair and dark skin!

I see you got the new zoo allready. The fences are a nice variation. I also noticed the black fences. I only know these in yellow. Did you paint them?

It is very nice!! Excellent use with the parts of different themes. You have a great collection! The diorama is fantastic full of wonderful ideas, scenes and details!

Rhalius, no my avatar isn't in there. The reason is I actually can't get to her easily... She was in a display cabinet that is now trapped deep beneath the tables. I'd have to crawl under to get her, being very careful not to bump the tables at all, but I may do that. I had wanted to use her for a pic for the photo contest, but I didn't get to it in time.

Sunflower, those triplets are a favorite of mine, too. I love arranging little families. And Daniela helped me get some of the new zoo sets from Germany. :love: They just arrived a couple of days ago so I could put the finishing touches. The black fence pieces are painted. I need to paint some more, actually. I think they blend into the background so much better than yellow.

Fantastic looking zoo Bonnie. Lots of great new ideas there, and some wonderful old ones too. The shark building looks wonderful, and the shark cage as a play area is a great idea. Having the restaurant right next to the lion cage is a great idea too. At the zoo in Portland they have a restaurant attached to the big aviary for tropical birds, with seating at the upper tree level to watch the birds fly.

The cuddling monkeys in the hammock, the giraffes, who get food from the visitors, the fantastic look of the water, especially the waves of the seal show, the gift shop, the laughing twins and...and...and

It´s sooo beautiful!

And I am happy I could help you with the new sets and the blue footed boobies (LOVE THEM! :love:)

Tim, I got the idea of the lions outside the restaurant from the Dallas Zoo. Their new Africa exhibit is state-of-the-art, just lovely. And Ras, that lion is supposed to be stretching! :lol:

Thanks Gaston! It is huge. Four 6-foot tables and one 3 foot by 3 foot table, plus a cardboard bridge connecting some tables. My last one was just three 6-foot tables.

Sophie loves your diorama as she loves animals !!! Not very fond of the castle of Krull  :lol: :lol: she prefers her fairy and princess set and of course animals. Great diorama one of the best  :)
