Hai zusammen!
Hier stelle ich meine Bauwerksdios vor. Einiges ist für dieses und nächstes Jahr in konkreter Planung... mal schauen, was draus werden wird.

and welcome to my edificial diorama display. Some plans are made for 2015 and 2016 - let's see how much of them can be made real. My first project is our village church as shown on the first pic followed by a first try for basic layout and tower height. As I'm trying to use as many original parts as possible, some windows might not entirely match the original, but that's life! I'm also planning to completely furniture the church, so first attempts to put up a gallery are made. Finally the octagonal bell tower does niggle me - let's see if I will get that storey done properly!
Erstes Dio: Die Georgskirche

Nach einer gewissen Abstinenz kommt nun mein nächstes Projekt. Es hat zur Abwechslung mal keine Schienen ::) . Vielmehr handelt es sich um den Nachbau unserer Dorfkirche:

Jetzt mit Fenstern. Wo möglich werde ich auf original Playmobilteile zurückgreifen. Deswegen stimmen die Fenster nicht richtig mit dem Original überein.

Die Empore wird nicht das Letzte bleiben, wo geschummelt werden wird müssen. Die Kirche wird - bei mir unüblich - auf der Rückseite offen bleiben und daher auch eingerichtet werden (ich suche noch 10 Kirchenbänke, falls jemand welche übrig haben sollte).

Das achteckige Glockengeschoß bereitet mir noch ein wenig Kopfzerbrechen .

Is that a custom stair case from the zoo? I sure wish people would have asked for certain parts at the pcc, this one in particular.

Und weiter geht's - here we go.
Der Boden der Empore wurde aus einer Art Styropor gemacht, die man zur Trittschalldämmung nimmt. Eine ca. 4mm starke Hartschaumplatte. A 4mm insulation panel is used as gallery floor.
And here's Plan B for the octagonal bell tower storey - easier to build and better looking than Plan A, I'm inclined to say.

Also, Plan B hat auch hier eindeutig gewonnen und wurde gestern fortgeführt. Plan B definitely won and was improved yesterday. The storey was extended a little bit and a peaked roof added - the first turning out to be to short, but version II pleases my eyes.

The stecks wall piece that has the rectangle window in it. Did you cut a square stone wall piece or use the random stone wall piece from the zoo that has a factory cut out for the rectangle window?

Das Fenster war eine normale Wand, in die ich einen passenden Ausschnitt gedremelt habe. That part used to be a normal wall, in which I cut an opening matching the window frame.
I spent three more hours in my Playmobil den yesterday night. Here's a first result. The big roof's put up and I hope it'll prove to be strong enough. The attic floor's to be replaced by a wooden board.

Und weiter - on we go. Roof parts where replaced by wooden boards. A ceiling cutout'll enable us to look inside the church. And a wheel barrow provides me with the parts neded for the chandeliers suspension.

This is a wonderful creation, Stefan, and many of our large Methodist chapels have a balcony section upstairs like your church.

Most Protestant churches have a balcony here (some even two) while Catholic ones hardly do. Hier haben die meisten evangelischen Kirchen Emporen (teilweise sogar zwei) - im Gegensatz zu den katholischen.

On we go. I finally received two deliveries - doors etc. where sent from Playmobil DS so I could accomplish the altar wall. And the art supplies shop provided me with roof equipment as shown on the tower-top-picture.

That's a superb job on the roof, Stefan. I think I've used the same material to make roofs for Steck buildings, but never as well as you have.

Back to basis: A sunny day allowed the sandstone front to be created in the garden. A first layer of special sand's coloured with ginger varnish... back inside I had to acknowledge a certain change in colour due to the neon lights. Guess a second go'll be required.

Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein im Garten: Die Sandsteinfassade war dran. Satt mit Lack eingesprüht, dann Vogelsand drauf und trocknen lassen. Hält super (vorerst jedenfalls - mal sehen, wie die Langzeitwirkung sein wird).

Anschließend nochmal mit ockerfarbenem Lack drüber, damit die Steine nicht so "sauber" wirken - und weil Sandsteinfassaden ja immer "bunt" sind. Außen bei echtem Licht sah's noch besser aus. Da muß ich heute nochmal im Garten nachfärben.

A keeping-up-date: six metal angels are installed to hold the ceiling board safe in place. Chandelier and pulpit ceiling are fixed for testing their looks.

Die Arbeiten an meiner Kirche sind einen entscheidenden Schritt weitergekommen. Endlich habe ich den richtigen Farbton gefunden! Finally color's matching.

Als nächstes kam der Altar dran. The altar's next. Four candles were to be prepared to produce a candle-like glimmer. Quite some mess within the altar, but I like its general view and so do vicar and craftsmen.

...reconstructing the altar wall required an upright position - die Kirche zur Überarbeitung der Altarwand "aufgerichtet" wurde.

Die Frontwand wurde komplett neu gemacht. Bei der Gelegenheit wurden auch die beiden beim ersten Anlauf vergessenen Kerzenhalter nachgeliefert.

Ferienzeit ist die beste Zeit - und bei uns bedeutet Pfingsten zwei Wochen Urlaub :). Die Kirche wurde endlich vom Basteltisch auf ihre künftige Platte verfrachtet. Nach einigem Überlegen habe ich mich dafür entschieden, sie auf ein Standardelchnormmodulbrett zu setzen.
Holidays are best days and whitsuntide's lasting a fortnight here :). That meant two weeks of holy days to do some creative work. So I finally put the church onto its new board. Three screws should do to fix it so the board can be lifted and carried without danger to the building - I hope.

As the church's mastered its first stress-test - a local parade - a new topic's about to get startend: In 2017 we're going to be celebrating 500 years oft Reformation so I'm going to show my Martin Luther diorama for a second time (the first having been tät 2007 Wolfsburg convention).
Für verschiedene Aufstellungen ab kommendem Februar werde ich jetzt nach und nach mein Lutherdio wieder aufbauen, das manche (Ältere :pfeif ) noch von WOB 2007 kennen. Den Anfang machte heute Luthers Geburtshaus (http://www.wenzel-orf.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/22eisleben_geburtshaus_hofseite-panorama2.jpg).

(Die Giebel werden noch durch Fachwerk ersetzt werden - sobald ich zwei Fachwerkgiebel bekommen haben werde (Futur II ist schon irgendwie klasse :bang1 )).
Sollte ich am Ende noch Zeit haben, ist auch der Umbau der Fassade des ersten Stockes als Fensterfachwerk angedacht, aber das wäre die Kür, wenn aller Pflichten genügt wäre.

It's huge! :o It's so detailed it doesn't even look like Playmobil anymore, more like an actual scale model. Congratz, it's amazing!

Die letzten Kommentare gelten wohl noch der Kirche, nehme ich an ::). Das große Dach wurde mit einer speziellen Dachfolie für den Modellbahnbau gemacht (ursprünglich von Joker Nitzsche und jetzt nach dessen plötzlichem Tod von Joker Rügen (http://www.joker-ruegen.de/). Freut mich, daß es Euch gefällt.
Guess those last comments are concerning my church ::). There're special roof foils provided by model railway suppliers, mine used to be Joker Nitzsche, but due to the sudden death of it's owner, now Joker Rügen (http://www.joker-ruegen.de/) took over.

Daß die Fenster so gerade sitzen, liegt weniger an meinen Sägekünsten als mehr daran, daß sie ja am Fachwerk anliegen. Das gibt die entsprechende Ausrichtung.
It's less due to my perfect cutting that those windows are neatly fitting than the fact, that they're "leaning" against the timber framing 8-).

Nachdem mich gestern eine Großlieferung erreicht hatte, konnte ich gleich weiterbauen: Die Schloßkirche zu Wittenberg, DER zentrale Ort der Reformation.
As an important delivery made my day yesterday, works could go on: Wittenberg Schloßkirche is THE central location of 1517 Protestant Reformation showing details such as the Door of Theses or the big windows subsisting from my first display of 2007.

Viele Sonderteile wie Fenster und Thesentüre sind noch von 2007 erhalten, als das Dio erstmals in WOB ausgestellt wurde.

Während die Schloßkirche auf die passenden Dächer (die mit dem großen Ausschnitt zum Reingucken) wartet, geht's endlich an die Wartburg. Torhalle, Vogtei und Ritterhaus bilden den ersten Gebäudekomplex.
While Schloßkirche's put aside waiting for fitting roof plates, I'm proceeding with the first Wartburg buildings: Torhalle, Vogtei and Ritterhaus make one building. Hard to copy using Playmobil as each roof has a different incline and walls are standing in strange angels while Playmobil Steck allows only rectangular constructions.

Die unterschiedlichen Dachneigungen des Originals sowie der Umstand, daß die Häuser nicht rechteckig zueinander stehen, macht die Umsetzung mit Playmobil nicht ganz einfach, da im Stecksystem nur eine Dachneigung und rechte Winkel möglich sind.
Das Dach der Dirnitz in der Mittelburg weist inzwischen eine große "Gaube" auf - mal schauen, ob ich die hinkriegen werde. First attempt to copy the "double roof" (or big dormer) of the Dirnitz.

Details zum angebauten Rundturm werde ich noch nachliefern. Heute gibt's erstmal die Bilder vom Palas.
Details of the attached round tower are still to come. Yesterday Palas-works were accomplished. I decided to draw on the old villa for that building - though it's completely leaving medieval times (concerning its architecture). But to me it's still the best option to implement those different styles of Wartburg edifices. It took me some dremel-work to make all parts fit as that size's not matching the old villas original dimensions.
Interior will be added to all rooms later - for a start only chapel and kitchen are equipped as their large windows allow a good view from outside.

...am Ende schaut das ganze ganz gut aus, finde ich. Bodenplatten für das Obergeschoß wurden erfolgreich "eingedremelt". Die Spalten, die auf diesen Bildern teilweise noch zu sehen sind, sind inzwischen auch geklebt.
Das Thema "Inneneinrichtung" ist für mich als Modellbahner wie üblich eine gewisse Herausforderung... :oops . Nicht zuletzt der passenden Teile wegen. Daher gibt's sowas zunächst nur für die beiden Räume, die man wegen der großen Fenster auch von vorne einsehen kann:

I just put it there with a little help of my good friend hot glue. Cutting the roof in shape gave me some work - eight years ago. Now I just had to get it from the old parts box :lol:. Unfortunately I'm lacking that roof tip >:(.
Das Turmteil steht einfach da - ein bißchen Heißkleber leistet überzeugende Arbeit 8-). Das Dach in Form zu bringen, war recht pfriemelig, aber das hatte ich schon vor acht Jahren erledigt, so daß ich diesmal nur das fertige Teil aus der Kiste holen mußte :).. Dummerweise besitze ich keine Dachkappe :'(.

So, Endspurt. Nächste Woche um diese Zeit sollten die Module alle auf der ersten Ausstellung stehen.
Final works as a first exhibition's about to start in a week from now. Nearly everything's glued and fixed by now granting quick set ups on scene. Only castle Wartburg can't be pre-fixed on a board... 8-).
Still missing: The monastery. I'm going to borrow one for the big exhibition in autumn as I'm lacking parts and figures.
Quite a number of parts still are exactly the same as originally used in 2007 when I first displayed that theme. Such are e.g. the Stotternheim lightning or windows and "Thesentüre" of Schloßkirche Wittenberg.
Luthers trial before the German Kaiser an a papal delegate in Worms is the only "inside scene" of that display.

Luthers Geburtshaus. Aus transporttechnischen Gründen habe ich hier auf einen Playmobilgarten zurückgegriffen. Mal sehen, ob ich das für die Ausstellung hier bei uns im Herbst noch "richtig" mache.

Der Wald zu Stotternheim steht auch. Danke an alle, die mir hier mit Grünzeugverkäufen weitergeholfen haben. Erkennt Ihr Eure Bäume wieder? :kicher Der Blitz ist übrigens eins der Stücke, die noch von der ersten Lutherausstellung für WOB 2007 gebaut worden waren.
Das Kloster fehlt noch. Hier brauche ich wieder eine Leihgabe, da ich selber die Teile (und v.a. Figuren) nicht habe. Bis Herbst wird diese Lücke gefüllt sein.

Abgesehen vom Lutherhausmodul ist alles festgeklebt und komplett transportfertig. Ich hoffe, daß ich so alles in zwei Stunden werde aufbauen können (die Wartburg besteht natürlich auch aus Einzelgebäude. Das ist im Ganzen schwer zu schaffen).

Seit gestern steht die Wartburg in Zirndorf im HOB-Center des Funparks. Yesterday Castle Wartburg was put up at Zirndorf HOB-Center. This year is a "historical year" as besides Martin Luther a historical "Pirate Blackbeard"-layout by Diggi and Brubils "Marco Polo" will be presented. To provide a better basis Castle Wartburg's now standing on 5cm polystyrene boards. Green fleece was used as meadows around for my stock of trees unfortunately by far's not big enough to set up a proper forest.

Und weil noch Platz in der Vitrine ist, stehen im Moment testweise das Lutherhaus (Geburtshaus) und der Wald bei Stotternheim noch mit drin. Mal sehen, ob's dabei bleiben wird.
In den nächsten Tagen wird sich noch Diggis Piratendio und Brubils "Marco Polo" dazugesellen, so daß das Thema der Vitrinen heuer "Geschichte" sein wird.
