Title: 6145 - Dog Agility Training
Post by: Raven on March 12, 2015, 21:53:17
This is quite a small 'Superset', but with a nice baseplate (wrapped in the box in its own large plastic bag to protect it), and some attractive agility equipment, collars, leads. animals and klickies, as well as a useful bench and decorative walls.

For a small set, this is not cheap, but I think that it is nonetheless worthwhile for anyone who wants these things for a dog training club, a backyard dog training area, an agility demonstration at a country fair ... or even to use the A-frame and see-saw (teeter-totter) for a children's play area.

The gateway and the base of the see-saw has stickers, which I didn't attach, but the gateway's sticker is a very nice one:

I couldn't make a good photo of the labrador-type dog, and it may be that the head and body are indeed made of different kinds of plastic, but in reality that doesn't show at all - this is a bad photograph - and actually this is a lovely dog with its gundog pose and its brown eyes and nose.

There's also a green-eyed white cat (which looks a bit cream coloured here, but is really white).

The klickies look like a good dog-training family.

And the man has a belt that holds a training lead.

This is the long training lead he had in his belt:

The see-saw has the advantage of remaining stable in any position, so it can be posed for photographs.

The start posts and weaving posts, however, are made of soft plastic and are not easy to keep upright.  These are my 'corrected' versions, and you can see that they are still not straight.

The walls are lovely, and with only one connector, they will be easily attached to any outdoors baseplate.

I also really liked the small ball, and the Shepherd-type dog which, like the other colours in this mould, has a moveable tail.

And if you also have a couple of horse jumps, then you can easily make a larger home training set-up.

Thanks for the review...

The walls look indeed very very nice! And the girl has loads of potential!

It would never occur to me to put the leash on that belt! Learn and live :)

Thanks for the review. We will get one. I like your custom sock run through thingy. I do not really like his shirt sleeve combo. Easy fix.

Looks like a nice set with some great accessories to create an agility course like the look f those ramps and the scenery's not bad either. I've got the black dog and I really like him as well never particularly considered what breed he was though, really like the Border Collie as well and the German Shepherd apart from the mouth, I also like the family particularly the male  trainer his shirt's very striking and I like the trousers in those colours he looks very much like a professional dog trainer well to me at least  :).

Great review! No doubt my children will be wanting this set, so we will have to blindfold them next time we are in the toy shop....
I like the details about the training leash (clever way of carrying it!) and the fact the see-saw will stay in whatever position you put it.
Those slalom poles are a pain, not staying straight. Quite a few other PM parts have this problem. The black dog's head does look like a different plastic but this might be necessary for moulding simultaneously with the brown eyes and nose. It looks a bit like the plastic Geobra used for the light brown rabbits, which in time goes sort of 'fluffy' (quite appropriate really!).
Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous gateway sticker, indeed. And that lead... now I want one  :)

I didn't even know this set existed, and I was thrilled to see it, as we just started taking our dog to agility training last week. It was fun to see all the pieces that we'd just used!
