Title: Viking Village
Post by: Warhorse on February 15, 2015, 18:48:28
Hi everyone  Here is a Viking Village that I made last year. I took a few parts from a Viking Stronghold that I made a few years ago. Some of it is custom, but I trying to make some new buildings later this year. More for the Saxons that I want to create. Hope you like. This is only part of my Vikings, I went through my Vikings and made different Warbands by keeping together the shield colors as there main difference. Here is the blue & tan group.

The buildings that I made or used for the village are a Watchtower with a troop barrack, 3 small timber houses, a large timber house, 4 Warrior tents, a Blacksmith's workshop, a storehouse, Dark Age hut, and stable with a corral. Plus a small farm with a well.

Some of the elders or leaders of the village greeting some strangers to the village. One of my favorite is the Berserker figure that I made.

That's great! (had seen in on your blog before :) )  I have a soft spot for vikings (among many others :-[ )

I like the long braided beard very much - and it looks great there!

Thanks for sharing!

Nice village and great customs!  :)

Somehow it appears to me like the guy drinking ale at the table by himself is getting scourned by his wife.

Nice looks like a village which has managed to get all the necessary buildings and land inside a stronghold which they can defend easily, I like the way you've laid it out  and the round stone building although it looks like the guys guarding the booze are enjoying it as well  :**:.  I like the way you've customised some of the Vikings it's a nice take on them particularly some oft he ones with the bare chests with their warpaint they look ready for battle, and that long braided beard is that a new piece you've done?, first time I've seen the rocker hair in yellow as well looks unusual  :viking:

I keep making new things every few weeks, the braided beard was one of my first creations.
