That looks so beautiful. A very nice looking set with brilliant classic colors, finally.

Very strange that Geobra chose to announce it to general fans before the official fans who pay to get news early.

Make sure that you haven't accidentally "Unfollowed" it and go and "Like" some posts so that it will continue to appear in your feed.

In other news.... I think this set is FANTASTIC and wouldn't mind having one in my own collection.

Yeah, I had the same trouble, Tahra. I finally had to set it  so every time they post a pic I get a notification. That's a little annoying, but at least now I see the posts. I used to miss all of them.

No, I have it "liked" and "following". It's not just this .. "page"? Happens to me all the time... Somehow I get all the "pointless" posts from "friends" that post once about playmobil, but the ones I ACTIVELY follow, don't appear.

I HATE THAT FREAKING THING.

YES. Completely agree. And they seem to be able to print an address in a different country too! <GASP> :o

Go to the page, hover over where it says LIKED and there will be a drop-down that says Get Notifications.

FB's new rules for business pages are stupid. If you don't like something from their page at least three times a month, they stop showing that business in your news feed.

Ah, thanks - that must be it. I don't have the habit of "liking" things right and left... maybe that's why so many people seem to..

GAH. Will have to go through everything and "like" a lot of stuff then.. <sigh>

Finally a truly beautifull Dutch exclusive.  :)

Pricy shipping even for here in the Netherlands though, more than the cost of the set. Though picking it up personally would cost even more through traveling.
I'll order two of them later on, but I have spend enough money recently so will wait a bit.

So, um... I don't know if I made a mistake, but in the Country options, there's "United States of America" that charges you about 12 Euros to ship, but a few entries later, there's "USA" which charges you 3.7 Euros to ship. Did I make a mistake? Is USA not the United States? Was this a weird glitch? But either way, I just paid less than 9 Euros/11 dollars for this. We will see what happens I guess.

Well first off "worlds greatest artwork" is obviously open to interpretation, this is not a "one off" set. So far it's a two off, remember the recent 6107 beauty. Hopefully this trend continues as there is plenty of subject matter.

That would be so great as we are his surviving family. Geobra would have to make a deal with our family heads, and I have great influence on them. Now if only the darn Swiss bankers would give us back his money they are stealing, I could finally build the playmo barn of paradise.

Hasn't our friend Hadoque made one once? (not so long ago?). Yes, a whole theme of art... that would be fabulous. Lego has the architect series, Playmobil the Art series...  and, a big advantage, they won't have to pay royalties to the dead artists!

Yep hehe, here again the pic of the "Nachtwacht" (Nightguard).  ;)

Original name of this Rembrandt-painting:
"Schutters van wijk II onder leiding van kapitein Frans Banninck Cocq"
(Shooters van wijk II under command of captain Frans Banninck Cocq)
(1642)

Rukken = jekring off   in Dutch :P  :hehe: :lmao:

did you mean Rijksmuseum by any chance?
Rijks translates into State / Government  it's a word used in Dutch a lot. "Het Rijk" means everything that forms or is the Dutch Government. For example i work for Rijkswaterstaat, it's made up of the 2 words: Rijks & Waterstaat you see?

was funny as hell though  ;D

Just spelled it as it came to me. Must be an odd museum display from your perspective

Tim was just opened by the boys, waited till they were all home at the same time. The package had a very nice hand written postcard in it of the "share the smile" art poster. I think I will copy and shrink one for the playmo art frame and have it in the playmo museum

It's not a mistake, the IJ digraph is an established element of Dutch typography:

Also, your package is quite different from mine. Some sort of plastic envelope? My figure is in a standard blue box.

The two I ordered from Dutch DS came in today, it's definatly a beautifull clicky with great accesoires.
Also ordered a set of redcoats along with them and when unpackaging it all I realised that the last time I purchased DS redcoats it was with the bakery. Seemingly I can't order redcoats without a good supply of bread.

But yes, it will all be very usefull. Since I don't collect western I didnt have that table yet but I think it can be used for medieval and pirates too. Baskets, bowls, bread and vases are always welcome too, it's great accesoires to have around.
I'll keep one of the ladies as she is, and modify the other with a new wig and no apron.

They used DHL to send to me (Oregon). I wasn't there when they first tried to deliver it so they left an announcement card. I signed it and they left it the next day.

Please note (ENGLISH) / Let op (NEDERLANDS):

— Playmobil's Vermeer's "Milkmaid" is not available in the Rijksmuseum shop at the Museumplein (square in front of the museum) / Playmobil's Vermeers Melkmeisje is niet verkrijgbaar in de winkel op het Museumplein.
— Playmobil's Vermeer's "Milkmaid" is only available in the shop inside the Rijksmuseum. But you have to wait in a row....  :( / Playmobil's Vermeers Melkmeisje is alleen verkrijgbaar in de winkel in het museum. Je moet dan wel buiten in de rij wachten...  :(

Ordered mine finally. Was going to get 5 but the shipping went way up after 4, just 3,70 for 4 but closer to 20 for 5 boxes. 4 will be enough for me.
