We've had some nice temperatures here in the Netherlands and for my little girl the inflatable mini swimming pool is set up to cool down and have fun. When she takes a nap daddy gets his playmo and starts shooting....... pictures that is. (Very very complicated to make god shots while focusing your camera, zooming in on your target that keeps floating away..... :P)
Will post the story soon, first a picture I found on my harddrive that I've never shared here and depicts a scene at the ocean floor.

Fishing with Vassillis
It's a nice warm day in the blue Aegean sea. Vassillis had left the harbor at Mykonos early in the morning and his Arianna is now full with fresh fish.
While cleaning one of the fish he hears voices behind him.

"Oke Jim, let me hook you up", "Hook someone up??? Vassillis petrifies"
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a2_zpse789bd07.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a2_zpse789bd07.jpg.html)
He turns around and realizes an explorer, or treasure seeker, is busy preparing and checking the safety of a diver.

and he navigates his ship to the other side of the explorers ship.

This looks like a nice spot to watch those explorers. I have caught enough fish for today, so lets enjoy the spectacle.

"You're all oke Jim?" "Yeah, Breathing oke, radio oke, safetyline oke...lower me down" responds Jim.

"Good luck, according to the captain there should be something exactly under the hull of the ship"

Something under the ship? Very exciting! Can't wait to see more! :)

Beautifull pictures, I'm just as curious as that fisherman about whats going to happen. Did he first think the fish where speaking to him and wanted to get even by hooking him up?

Great suspense - and wonderful photos!

The captain takes a look and asks:'everything fine?'

'Steady she goes, you're a'right Jim?' 'I'm fine over almost submerged now.'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a10_zps8202198b.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a10_zps8202198b.jpg.html)
Down under and hit the bodem. Everything fine, I think I see the object visible on sonar......wow!

'I'm right under you guys. I guess you can see me from up there and what I found.'

'Oh yeah we definitely see you and that gigantic treasure chest!'

'I will pull it to to back, so you guys can lift it up.' 'Roger that Jim, we will lower the pallet'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a15_zpsd104e998.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a15_zpsd104e998.jpg.html)

'Piece of cake guys, in this suit, and thanks to Archimedes, this chest weights nothing down here '
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a16_zpsdea29f10.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a16_zpsdea29f10.jpg.html)
'Almost there the chest is on the pallet now'

'Steady,steady,almost there now.'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a19_zpse89c56d5.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a19_zpse89c56d5.jpg.html)
'Jim, we did it, the chest is completely out of the water. Wow, the crane has to work double time, that chest must be heavy'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a20_zpsd13329e7.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a20_zpsd13329e7.jpg.html)
'This is the biggest treasure chest I've ever seen' 'To bad we can't open it, I'm dying of curiosity' 'W'll first have to gradually expose it to less saline water otherwise it will break apart, lose it's significance and it might not be good for whats inside' 'Let's take Jim out'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a21_zpsaae90453.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a21_zpsaae90453.jpg.html)

'Great work Jim, your research with this chest as result will be the top lecture at the next archaeological meeting.'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a22_zpsa721c9b2.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a22_zpsa721c9b2.jpg.html)
'When we've opened that chest the dean will certainly give us an extra grant for further research'
(http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff509/conniefrere/Diving/Fishing/a23_zps41a1df56.jpg) (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/conniefrere/media/Diving/Fishing/a23_zps41a1df56.jpg.html)
But Vassilis would never find out, only the next day he read in the papers that an archaeological diving team had found a chest filled with stone tablets. On these tablets a mysterious hitherto unknown writing was discovered and more research had to be carried out.
'I've seen enough, back to shore and store those fish'

Vassilis slowly turn his boat and heads back, what a lovely day...

Great pictures, will there be a follow up story to deal with these mysterious stone tablets? an expedition for more treasure perhaps?
-
Fantastic photos, love the aquatic setting! Any chance more photos are to come? :picsplz:

Wonderful photos: I love the fish swimming by as Jim loads the chest onto the pallet, and the final photo - 'what a lovely day' - is perfect. It really looks as though Vassilis is contentedly looking forward to telling his friends or family what he has seen - not just because of his smiling klicky face, but because the set up and angle of the photo so much looks like he is moving away and going home.

Me too!

I could not say what I love best between outdoor trains or aquatic scènes ( pool, river, sea ) but I would love to experience this outdoor fun one day

Unfortunately, I'm out of swimming pool pictures for now. I might make more later, but there are a lot of conditions to meet to, the weather must ne good, I must inflate the swimming pool, add water, take all the stuff out of the attic, making pictures... Lot of work.
W'll see maybe later it's still summer here after all.

That was great, and I really enjoyed the pictures taken in the pool like that, on a pretty, sunny day. It made the pictures so appealing.

Thnks, yes that strong sunlight and reflection from the watersurface gives something extra.
-
Very nice work beautiful clear photos and a good story, it looks very relaxing out on the open ocean or swimming pool ;D
-
Wonderful!! ;D
I didn't know the explorer boat had a piece of see-through floor :o
This story makes me want to set up an inflatable pool and start playing with boats and explorers myself :) That's true for all of these stories we've been seeing lately: it just looks like so much fun!!

I love taking photo's in summertime...in the pool.
And yes Birdie the see through hull is great, the main reason I like this ship.

Great story, love water scenes :D
