Title: Hello, from western U.S.
Post by: starhorse on March 22, 2007, 20:25:46
Greetings Playmo Friends!

I go by Starhorse online, but my real name is Luke.  I'm a 25 year old Playmo fan from the Western United States.  Actually I'm very new to the world of Playmobil.  I just started collecting about a month ago, and have been pretty obsessed with it so far.  I really can't see enthusiasm changing any time soon either.

Since I'm so new, I have a lot to learn, and really look forward to using this forum to help me out.  It's nice to meet you all, and I'll see you on the forums!

Hello, Luke! :)

Welcome to PlaymoFriends from the highlands of Scotland. :D

Are you collecting one particular Playmobil theme, or is your obsession already boundless? ;D

Hope you will find all the information you need here to continue having fun and being creative with your klickies. If not, just ask, and I'm sure someone will be willing to help. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome all!  Much appreciated.

Sylvia, so far my main Playmobil interests are in the historical themes.  But I also enjoy some of the modern stuff too, like farm and police.  The thing I've loved about Playmobil so far, is how diverse the parts from each line are.  You can find so many creative ways to swap parts from the themes and use them together.  I used to be a big Lego fan, but unfortunately I just couldn't afford to get the giant collection like so many of the fans could amass.  It always seemed like to make some of the cool scenes, especially out door ones, you would need to have tons and tons of certain pieces.  So on that note, another thing I really apprecaite about Playmobil is how you really don't need to spend much money, or even have many pieces to make a wonderfully detailed little scene.

Welcome from Oregon

What you are saying about the ability to combine sets for more complex scenes is very true, and the more you have the more you can do.
