Part One - Arrival at the Farm
'I've been thinking, Norman,' said his wife Elma, 'We need to take a family vacation. You have been so busy with your business lately, and we all need to spend some time together.'
'Yes, you are right,' agreed Norman, 'I've established a very successful business, but my staff can handle everything while I'm away. I'll see what I can arrange for us and the children.'
'It would be nice to have a restful stay in the countryside, I think,' said Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F001_zpsd0b9b1a5.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F001_zpsd0b9b1a5.jpg.html)
The next day, Norman had good news.
'I've booked a weekend vacation at a farm,' he said, 'The farm website says that there are lots of friendly animals to interact with; fresh milk brought to the door every morning; a children's play area; a farm shop; even pony riding for children. It's run by a Mr Delshad Martin, and a new business venture for him, so it will be good to support that, too.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F002_zps77ee19db.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F002_zps77ee19db.jpg.html)
It was quite a long drive to the farm, and it was evening by the time Norman and Elma and their children arrived.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F003_zps2138d5aa.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F003_zps2138d5aa.jpg.html)
'Good evening Mr Martin,' said Elma.
'Oh please just call me Delshad,' Mr Martin replied.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F004_zps30c01a7b.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F004_zps30c01a7b.jpg.html)
'I hope you have a very happy vacation here,' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F005_zpsc96813fc.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F005_zpsc96813fc.jpg.html)
'We'll just have some bread and cheese to eat, and then the children can go to bed,' decided Elma, 'There will be plenty of time to explore the farm tomorrow. We'll eat outside, because it's such a lovely evening.'
'Oh dear,' she said, 'There are chickens in the garden. Shoo! Shoo, chickens, shoo! It's very unhygenic to have birds around when one is eating.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F006_zpsef392e76.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F006_zpsef392e76.jpg.html)
'Oh no,' cried Elma, 'Where are all these cats coming from? They will put hair and fleas everywhere! Quick, everyone, let's take the food back indoors.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F007_zps64819c15.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F007_zps64819c15.jpg.html)
'Billy, shut the door quickly,' said Norman to his son.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F008_zps458d1f38.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F008_zps458d1f38.jpg.html)
The next morning, Delshad arrived early with the fresh milk.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F009_zps99374555.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F009_zps99374555.jpg.html)
'Billy! Betty! Come and have some lovely fresh milk!' called Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F010_zpsbc59bcd2.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F010_zpsbc59bcd2.jpg.html)
'Bleah!' cried Betty. 'Ugh!' said Billy.
Even Norman and Elma had to agree that the milk was not very nice.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F011_zpsadb7600f.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F011_zpsadb7600f.jpg.html)
'Delshad,' said Norman, 'That milk you gave us - was it fresh?'
'Oh yes,' said Delshad, 'It was straight from the cow this morning. I'd only just then milked the cows, and I brought it straight to you. Would you like to come and see them?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F012_zps8f7386ba.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F012_zps8f7386ba.jpg.html)
'But... they're not cows,' said Norman.
'Oh yes they are all cows,' said Delshad, 'Every one is female.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F013_zps7533c4a0.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F013_zps7533c4a0.jpg.html)
'Another farmer near here has a bull camel, and he takes my young ones too. Camels are lovely animals, aren't they?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F014_zps08f622fa.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F014_zps08f622fa.jpg.html)
'No, no!' said Elma, 'They could be dangerous! Children, move back!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F015_zps459e075c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F015_zps459e075c.jpg.html)
'Betty and Billy, you must never never go near those camels. They could bite!' said Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F016_zpscd8976f2.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F016_zpscd8976f2.jpg.html)
'Delshad,' said Norman, also keeping a safe distance from the camels, 'I see you have camping right there. Are there many people staying? Some nice families, perhaps?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F017_zpsddcc0c60.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F017_zpsddcc0c60.jpg.html)
'Oh just some farming volunteers,' replied Delshad, 'They saw my website and wrote and asked if they could come and help on the farm and learn all about farming. They are students, apparently. So I just said Yes, and that they could stay free of charge at my little campsite. They seem to be enjoying themselves here.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F018_zps378e845e.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F018_zps378e845e.jpg.html)
'Oh, right,' said Norman, rather uncertainly. Then he smiled and said, 'Well, we must go and get some breakfast now. Then we can enjoy our first full day here, I'm sure.'

Part Two - Betty and Billy get a new friend
'Look, Dad!' said Billy, 'A children's tractor! Can we ride on it?'
''Well yes, I think so,' said Norman, 'I expect it has been put there for visiting children.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F019_zpsc97ff769.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F019_zpsc97ff769.jpg.html)
'This is great,' said Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F020_zps993c4535.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F020_zps993c4535.jpg.html)
'Turn round now,' said Billy, 'We mustn't go near the dangerous camels.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F021_zps02f0e31a.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F021_zps02f0e31a.jpg.html)
'Don't go too fast,' said Billy.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F022_zpscb44f851.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F022_zpscb44f851.jpg.html)
'Oh,' said Betty, 'Who are you?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F023_zps21cdb31d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F023_zps21cdb31d.jpg.html)
'My name is Skye,' said the girl, 'I live here. It's my tractor. But it's OK, you can use it too if you like. I've also got a go-kart, if you want to ride on that.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F024_zps919c1c72.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F024_zps919c1c72.jpg.html)
'I'd love to ride on your go-kart,' said Billy, 'Thank you, Skye.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F025_zps42ae2258.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F025_zps42ae2258.jpg.html)
'Stop! Stop!' shouted Norman.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F026_zps3f1b24f2.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F026_zps3f1b24f2.jpg.html)
'Billy, you are not to ride on a go-kart. Go-karts are dangerous. They go too fast and you can lose control. Get off it at once.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F027_zpsa0fab07d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F027_zpsa0fab07d.jpg.html)
'Also: Betty, get out of that trailer. It is dangerous to ride in trailers.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F028_zpsc2982784.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F028_zpsc2982784.jpg.html)
'Go and park the go-kart neatly, Billy,' continued Norman, 'And Betty, who is the little girl?'
'She's called Skye and she lives here,' said Betty.
'She must be Delshad's daughter,' said Norman, 'Well then, you could ask her to show you where the children's play area is. Then you could play on the nice safe play equipment there. That would be fun, wouldn't it?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F029_zpsc655c1c0.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F029_zpsc655c1c0.jpg.html)
'The play area is just along there,' said Skye, 'I can take you if you want.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F030_zpsab0d100b.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F030_zpsab0d100b.jpg.html)
'The camels won't bite us, will they?' worried Billy.
'That dog won't bite me, will it?' worried Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F031_zps3dfc8af6.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F031_zps3dfc8af6.jpg.html)
'Come on, we go left here,' said Skye.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F032_zps030c3438.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F032_zps030c3438.jpg.html)
'Just squeeze round here.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F033_zps58e38309.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F033_zps58e38309.jpg.html)
'And here we are!' said Skye.

Tomorrow: Part Three - The Dangerous Play Area
-
I'm liking the looks of the play area. Dad will have a fit though.
Is that the fairy swing? From the "unicorn suitcase", I think? I don't have it... but looks really nice from that glimpse on the last pic...
Looking forward to more! ;D
-
Yes, the swing is from the 5208 Unicorn Suitcase - and will clip onto certain tree branches OK, so it doesn't have to be used with the suitcase set only. Though the suitcase set is quite nice as an entrance to somewhere - the carrying handle isn't obvious, but looks rather like a decoration.

Thanks for the confirmation.. looks very nice - apart from the color ::)
Ultimately, that set left the LIST cause the unicorns are not playmo at all...
-
Cute story! :)9
I hope they release that swing in a normal color.
-
Nice story, I wonder what other surprises there will be after drinking camel milk, having cats chase them and chickens in the garden! :)
-
The dangerous play area sounds intriguing! Great story! :)

Part Three - The Dangerous Play Area
'Oh dear, this looks rather high,' said Billy.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F035_zps9f471da6.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F035_zps9f471da6.jpg.html)
'And this swing is definitely too high,' said Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F036_zpsac23f68d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F036_zpsac23f68d.jpg.html)
'Rubbish!' said Skye, 'Look, I'll show you.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F037_zpsdb70aee9.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F037_zpsdb70aee9.jpg.html)
'Are you watching?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F038_zpsd6722c90.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F038_zpsd6722c90.jpg.html)
'It's easy!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F039_zpse7cafaf4.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F039_zpse7cafaf4.jpg.html)
'Are you coming up, then?' asked Skye.
'Er, no, we'd better not,' said Billy.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F040_zps89857a53.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F040_zps89857a53.jpg.html)
'Don't you want to go on the swing?' said Skye.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F041_zps4504297c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F041_zps4504297c.jpg.html)
'We'd better go back to the cottage and tell Mum and Dad about how dangerous this play area is,' said Billy to Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F042_zps99c36e59.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F042_zps99c36e59.jpg.html)
'Wheeeeeeee!' said Skye.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F043_zps1c9b27c7.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F043_zps1c9b27c7.jpg.html)
Upon hearing their children's report about the play area, Norman and Elma went to inspect it for themselves.
'This ladder is absolutely dangerous,' said Norman, 'It's not even fixed in position, but could swing wildly around.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F044_zpse3e22b4d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F044_zpse3e22b4d.jpg.html)
'And this log is far too high for children,' said Elma, 'Imagine how they could break their bones all over their bodies if they should fall from such a height.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F045_zps5c87fe6b.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F045_zps5c87fe6b.jpg.html)
'I don't approve of children having to brush close to public toilets, nor needing to squeeze through dusty bushes and ferns,' said Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F046_zps3fb1b43c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F046_zps3fb1b43c.jpg.html)
'And those farm volunteers could be a most undesirable influence upon young minds,' said Norman.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F047_zpsebcfafc2.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F047_zpsebcfafc2.jpg.html)
'And then there's the danger from the camels,' said Elma.
'Well, the danger from all the animals,' said Norman, 'In my opinion, they are overcrowded, and that poses a health risk to everyone. Still, the ponies look in good condition. And providing the ponies are calm enough, I'm sure that the children will enjoy pony riding. They have enjoyed themselves learning to ride at the Safe And Careful Riding School, haven't they? We must talk to Delshad about it tomorrow.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F048_zps1b14f8e6.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F048_zps1b14f8e6.jpg.html)

Definitely cityfolk, aren't they? Really enjoying this Raven! Can't wait to see more.
Hysterical city folk! ::)
-
 Right, I can say that because I'm a city girl myself. ;) And married to a country boy.
-
This is great!
Keep it coming!
-
This is great!
Keep it coming!
Yup, I second that :)
-
Wonderful, definitely a theme there
-
Great story some really good moments like all the cats gathering roudn when they get the cheese out and the camels milk . I've got to admit I do like Skye and Delhad his hair and beard look great really nice hippie feel to the place. Those parents seem like massive health and safety freaks, the bit about dusty bushes made me laugh we certainly didn't worry about that on all the family walks we went on I feel sorry for Betty and Billy growing up paranoid about evewrything and never getting to enjoy themselves or have adventures.
-
Thank you all for your comments. :)
Part Four - Disappointments ... and a Decision
The next morning, Delshad brought more camel's milk.
'Er, no thank you,' said Elma, 'But we would like to visit your Farm Shop. What time does it open?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F049_zpse316680a.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F049_zpse316680a.jpg.html)
'It's always open,' said Delshad, 'Just go and let yourselves in whenever you like. If you want to buy something, just put the money in the dish - you'll see it there with a few coins in, in case you need change.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F050_zps4d8fc51d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F050_zps4d8fc51d.jpg.html)
'I hope there are some lettuces and tomatoes,' said Elma, 'We could serve the children a nice healthy salad for lunch.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F051_zps074e4e67.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F051_zps074e4e67.jpg.html)
'Children, remember not to touch anything. There might be insects full of germs on the vegetables.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F052_zps47059955.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F052_zps47059955.jpg.html)
'Wh-What?' cried Elma, 'This isn't a Farm Shop; it's a Junk Shop!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F053_zps39a2d8f3.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F053_zps39a2d8f3.jpg.html)
'Oh dear, we must be polite to Delshad, and hide our disappointment,' said Norman, 'I know, let's go and ask him about the children's pony riding.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F054_zps6feda71c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F054_zps6feda71c.jpg.html)
'Yes, of course your children can ride the ponies,' said Delshad, 'Skye! Come here! Please get the ponies ready for the guests to ride.'
'Wonderful!' said Norman, 'Now Betty and Billy, go and get your hard hats while Skye gets the ponies.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F055_zps8cc36bc5.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F055_zps8cc36bc5.jpg.html)
'Here they are!' said Skye.
'You've forgotten to put their saddles on,' said Elma.
'Oh, we don't have any saddles,' said Skye, 'I always ride bareback.'
'Betty and Billy can't possibly ride bareback!' cried Norman, 'It's too dangerous! They could easily slip and fall and get trampled underfoot! Children, I'm sorry, but you can't ride these ponies; it wouldn't be safe!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F056_zpsd4801ada.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F056_zpsd4801ada.jpg.html)
'Perhaps we should just go for a little walk,' said Norman, 'Oh, hello again, Delshad. What is that you are carrying?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F057_zps3ce817de.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F057_zps3ce817de.jpg.html)
'It's a tray of meat for the farm volunteers,' said Delshad.
'Oh, do you sell fresh meat?' asked Elma.
'No,' said Delshad, 'I just provide meals for the volunteers.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F058_zps8111b5c6.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F058_zps8111b5c6.jpg.html)
'You know,' said Norman, 'It seems to me that Delshad has no idea about how to run a good business. He's a nice chap, but he's making lots of mistakes. I think that I should help him by sharing my expertise with him.'
'Yes, that's a good idea,' said Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F059_zpsa980874c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F059_zpsa980874c.jpg.html)
'Delshad!' said Norman, 'I'd like a chat with you. As you may know, I'm a very successful businessman, and I'd like to share a few tips with you. Can my wife and I come and see you this evening?'
'Yes, I guess so,' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F060_zps9a5d3268.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F060_zps9a5d3268.jpg.html)
Tomorrow: Part Five - The Talk with Delshad
-
What CAN you expect of a guy with THAT hair!? :P :P :P
(looking forward to more!)
-
Indeed, and that sweater on a farm?
:D
-
I suspect there will be a slight conflict when Norman shares his business strategies with Delshad. Looking forward to part five! :D

Those poor children. In ten years they will live happily on that farm with pink and green hair and ride the camels without a saddle and swing on a dangerous swing all day. They'll have to catch up somehow...
Love the story Raven!

I suspect there will be a slight conflict when Norman shares his business strategies with Delshad.
One would expect that! But we shall see.....
Part Five - The Talk with Delshad
'Do come in,' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F061_zps93c2593a.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F061_zps93c2593a.jpg.html)
'Go through into the kitchen.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F062_zps9d4d1a30.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F062_zps9d4d1a30.jpg.html)
'I just want to give you some helpful advice,' Norman began, 'And I've identified a few areas in which profitable improvements can be made.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F063_zps742bda72.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F063_zps742bda72.jpg.html)
'First of all,' said Norman, 'Those so-called volunteers of yours. I haven't noticed them actually volunteering to do anything! They are just sitting around, enjoying a free vacation, and with free food thrown in as well! If you get rid of those young people, then you can use the campsite for paying guests.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F064_zps0fcff7d3.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F064_zps0fcff7d3.jpg.html)
'Secondly,' he continued, 'The children's play area. It is too unconventional. You will attract more families, and have more families returning, if you replace it with conventional children's play equipment.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F065_zpsbf8d9111.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F065_zpsbf8d9111.jpg.html)
'Thirdly, the camels. Once again, these are too unconventional, and are not what most people have in mind when you advertise "friendly animals to interact with". And you have too many animals in general. My suggestion is to sell off what you have, and to start again. And rather than have unprofitable "friendly animals to interact with", you need to think in terms of what will make you a farming profit. Now, I'm no farmer, but I've heard it said that pig farming makes a good profit nowadays. So think about pigs, Delshad; pigs are where the money is!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F066_zpsb87f4602.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F066_zpsb87f4602.jpg.html)
'And Delshad,' continued Norman, 'I dislike recommending the cutting down of trees, but really, your little woodland is taking up valuable land space. Clear the woodland and you can use the area for something profitable.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F067_zps98959a2d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F067_zps98959a2d.jpg.html)
'Now on to aesthetics,' said Norman, 'Quite frankly, the entrance to the farm looks quite a mess. It needs tidying up, and making to look more attractive and inviting. A couple of pots of flowers, perhaps.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F068_zpsc58ce9ca.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F068_zpsc58ce9ca.jpg.html)
'And the vacation cottage garden is very dull. Again, a pot of flowers could cheer it up. And also: you really need to do something about all those cats and chickens. Their constant present is quite unbearable. I don't think there is enough profit in chickens to really justify having them, and as for the cats - well, I suggest you keep just one of them, and rehome the rest.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F069_zpse457ff5b.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F069_zpse457ff5b.jpg.html)
'Oh, and finally,' said Norman, 'The Farm Shop. Quite honestly, Delshad, when people go to a Farm Shop they expect to see vegetables for sale, not to find a secondhand shop! You really need to sell vegetables, and just vegetables, there.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F070_zpsce85e4a8.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F070_zpsce85e4a8.jpg.html)
Delshad was silent for a moment. Then he said,
'Thank you. Yes, I see where I've gone wrong. This is my first time trying to do something like this, and I seem to have made a lot of mistakes. I'm grateful to you for taking time to give me advice. I'll do all the things you have said.'
Norman felt satisfied. And when the family departed the next day, they were happy that they'd made a difference to the future of Delshad's farm vacation business.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F071_zps221d71c7.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F071_zps221d71c7.jpg.html)
Tomorrow: Part Six - Transformation ... and Norman, Elma, and their children return

Oh, didn't know he'd be so eager to change though I have a feeling he has a very different idea about changing things around than Norman.
-

>:( I think SOMEONE's presence is indeed "unbearable", and that SOMEONE needs "rehoming" alright. IDIOT. >:(
I'm curious to see the changes too..

Oh, didn't know he'd be so eager to change though I have a feeling he has a very different idea about changing things around than Norman.
Yes, I feel the same way.
Excited to see the transformations!

Part Six - Transformation ... and Norman, Elma, and their children return
'Hello Skye,' said Delshad, 'Look, I've made a List of Things I Need To Do:
- Paying guests for the campsite
- Conventional children's play area
- Replace camels and other animals with pigs
- Clear woodland
- Flowers
- More flowers
- Rehome cats
- Sell vegetables in the Farm Shop.'
'Replace all the animals?' queried Skye, 'Even my ponies? OK, then, can I have two big horses instead?'
'Well, that's not on my List,' said Delshad, 'But sure, I guess so.'
'Thanks Dad,' said Skye.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F072_zps8d2d6a32.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F072_zps8d2d6a32.jpg.html)
And so Delshad set to work.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F073_zps1f66f075.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F073_zps1f66f075.jpg.html)
Skye liked to help.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F074_zps5682afad.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F074_zps5682afad.jpg.html)
And Delshad's brother came to help too.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F075_zpsa0e93606.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F075_zpsa0e93606.jpg.html)
After some time, Norman received an email from Delshad. Delshad said that he had remodelled his farm and the vacation facilities - and he invited Norman and Elma and Billy and Betty to come for a free weekend to see the changes.
'Yippee!' cried Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F076_zps5b2ff44d.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F076_zps5b2ff44d.jpg.html)
'Here we are again,' said Elma, 'I suppose it does look prettier. Though perhaps a little overdone.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F077_zps89c052a0.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F077_zps89c052a0.jpg.html)
Skye spotted the family arriving.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F078_zps072ef9f0.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F078_zps072ef9f0.jpg.html)
And so did Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F079_zps179d95bd.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F079_zps179d95bd.jpg.html)
'Welcome back!' said Delshad, 'I hope you'll enjoy seeing how I followed all your advice.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F080_zps1b83fb98.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F080_zps1b83fb98.jpg.html)
'I'm now going to zoom around the roads,' said Skye, 'Betty and Billy, do you want to come with me?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F081_zps3b836da4.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F081_zps3b836da4.jpg.html)
'Can we?' asked Betty.
'Certainly not,' said Elma, 'That is far too dangerous! And Billy, come away from in front of those big horses, they could knock you over and badly injure you!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F082_zpsfbf2d13f.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F082_zpsfbf2d13f.jpg.html)
'Well, er... come and look at what I've done to the vacation cottage garden,' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F083_zps55c17836.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F083_zps55c17836.jpg.html)
'We did bring the children's hay fever medicine, didn't we?' worried Elma.
'This way,' said Delshad, 'I'll show you all round the farm.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F084_zps3721c171.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F084_zps3721c171.jpg.html)
'Betty! Come along, hurry up! We're going to see all the farm!' called Norman.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F085_zps6a59a0ab.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F085_zps6a59a0ab.jpg.html)
Tomorrow: Final Part - The Changes
-
You know how to tell a story. I'm so curious what's going to happen next.
-
Great story and great photos too
Looking forward to the next installment
-
Can't wait to see the rest of this! I'm really enjoying it!
-
Final Part - The Changes
'Look!' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F086_zpsb1797225.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F086_zpsb1797225.jpg.html)
'You'll see that I've beautified the Amenities Block.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F087_zpsf24f16d6.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F087_zpsf24f16d6.jpg.html)
'Now step this way.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F088_zps5b7a743c.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F088_zps5b7a743c.jpg.html)
'And you'll see how the guests are enjoying themselves.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F089_zpseae1e0da.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F089_zpseae1e0da.jpg.html)
'This way now.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F090_zpsbd6c50fa.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F090_zpsbd6c50fa.jpg.html)
'It's very cheerful here, isn't it?' said Delshad, 'All the noise of the children; the music playing; all very jolly.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F091_zpsf05b9956.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F091_zpsf05b9956.jpg.html)
'Mummy, can we go on the swingboats?' asked Betty.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F092_zps5f2e7750.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F092_zps5f2e7750.jpg.html)
'No, they are far too dangerous,' said Elma, 'Now mind out of the way before you get hit by one.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F093_zps425f00fd.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F093_zps425f00fd.jpg.html)
'Take care here now, children,' said Elma, 'Grown adults are kicking and throwing balls, so it is quite dangerous.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F094_zpse52ca288.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F094_zpse52ca288.jpg.html)
'Did you get some pigs?' Norman asked Delshad.
'Oh yes,' said Delshad, 'Would you like to come and see them?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F095_zps77a83c3b.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F095_zps77a83c3b.jpg.html)
'The pigs are in the end stall,' said Delshad.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F096_zpse352a8f2.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F096_zpse352a8f2.jpg.html)
'Oh no!' exclaimed Elma, 'These are not pigs!'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F097_zps8c2f65dd.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F097_zps8c2f65dd.jpg.html)
'These are wild boar!' she said.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F098_zpsc58cdf48.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F098_zpsc58cdf48.jpg.html)
'Move away, children,' said Elma, 'Wild boar are very dangerous.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F099_zpsec53bdff.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F099_zpsec53bdff.jpg.html)
'These ones are not dangerous,' said Delshad, 'But anyway, why don't you all go and see the Farm Shop. I've stocked it with vegetables and I'm sure that you will like it now.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F100_zpse461e3b7.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F100_zpse461e3b7.jpg.html)
'Well now we can truly look forward to buying some lettuces and tomatoes,' smiled Elma.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F101_zpse9c4b1d8.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F101_zpse9c4b1d8.jpg.html)
'Oh,' she said.
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F102_zps910b95ec.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F102_zps910b95ec.jpg.html)
Later that evening, Norman said to Elma,
'You know, I'm not entirely sure I've done the right thing here. It may not have been a profitable business, but it used to be quite a peaceful place, didn't it?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F103_zps3a992ea4.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F103_zps3a992ea4.jpg.html)
'And now it is just activity and noise,' he said, 'So I do wonder what is really best. Was I right, or was I wrong?'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F104_zpsfc446a30.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F104_zpsfc446a30.jpg.html)
'I think there is a danger in everything,' said Elma, 'So next time we have a family vacation, I think we'll simply have it at home in front of the television.'
(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/Raven461/F105_zpse1d20142.jpg) (http://s71.photobucket.com/user/Raven461/media/F105_zpse1d20142.jpg.html)

Absolutely love this story! Lovely pictures and the flow of the story is good as well as the characters.
Quite like the way how Delshad is portrayed with his blouse and his scarf.
-
Great conclusion to a fantastic story! Nice job!

I do have sympathy for Delshad. he is such a friendly guy. Good for Norman he does have some
self-criticism aftere all. The shop is funny!
I really enjoyed reading this. Great pictures too.
-
Wonderful story, thanks for posting it. I enjoyed the ending, the canned foods especially. A lot of the roadside farm stands dont actually grow all their produce right there anyway, though it is usually sold raw ;)
-
Wonderful story ;D
That junk shop looked great!
-
Excellent! I really dislike Elma, great how you've given her a real character. Beautiful set up, great story telling and lovely customs. :)9
-
Great pictures and characters, some parents can really be that fussy.
-
Great story and the lady reminds me very much of Sylvia's old avatar
Karim
-
 Great ending I think Delshad might have over done it on the flowers and the boars made m laugh but, even more so with all the tinned vegetables brilliant, I really do pity those kids though
-
Great story! Well done!
That family is a bunch of killjoys.
-
Great story
I love the country feel to it with the "bandanas" and this vegetal chair is stunning !
Karim
