Hey guys the other weekend I went on my 2nd camping trip with some of my pals, we had probably one of the best weekends you could ask for weather wise nice and warm and dry throughout a bit too hot for me at times but, hey we coped. Two of my ost loyal Action Men Scott and Jon joined me along with a whole load of my little guys who decided they were in need of a holiday as well ;) so I took loads of photos of everyone (oh and a few of my friends as well ;D)
We stayed at a place called Kniveton which is in the White Peaks, Derbyshire (very important as it means you can build fires as appose to the Dark Peaks which don't allow fires). When we arrived on the first day it was really hot so we settup camp, had lunch and tried to find some shade but, later on when it cooled off a bit we went for a bit of a stroll and found a nice place with plenty of good views and better yet a good breeze so perfect for lieing down and relaxing for a while

Later on we started a fire going so we could have a nice veggie BBQ, they had sometables with old wheel rims set in the middle which was where you built your fire and it worked really well, also the space around the table worked nicely for me and one of my mates to set our Kelly Kettle on and they had plenty of bricks to borrow if we needed to put it in a more sheltered position closer to the ground. Anyway we had plenty of food and we got a big bag of home grown salad from the farm there wa spelnty of it and lots of different leaves, narsturtium flowers etc. (even a geranium flower snuck in) mini Scott thought it looked very colourful and tasty so he decided to pose on my plate ...

We had some good sunsets although I don't think my camera does them justice
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/Sunset2062014_zps0cb9e504.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/Sunset2062014_zps0cb9e504.jpg.html)
The next day we did a walk for most of the day we passed by a Church anstd had a quick look round the Graveyard there was one strucutre which was particularly interesting it had different drawings/runes? possibly Celtic on the sides
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/CelticScuplture2162014_zpsfec06f39.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/CelticScuplture2162014_zpsfec06f39.jpg.html)
There was also an interesting lampost with some conflicting information on it and a little plaque about the war :eh?: still it was quite a nice lampost so Scott posed for a photo and one of the guys decided it would be nice to have his dog Sandfy in the photo as well
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/SandyandTheLampost2162014_zpsef142e35.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/SandyandTheLampost2162014_zpsef142e35.jpg.html)
Shortly after that we reached a field with some nice soft looking grass in it so I suggested it would be a good place to stop for lunch

A bit further along and we found a nice stream, so me and a few of the guys and Sandy decided to dip our feet, I'm fairly hardy and always enjoy getting in the water but, even for me it was feeezing :omg:
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/Stream2162014_zps07529426.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/Stream2162014_zps07529426.jpg.html)
We also walked past a hill which one of the guys was quite keen to visit called Wiggballow so we decided to climb it and have a quick explore Scott decided to pose with this little guy who I forgot to add is a more accurate version of Mini Scott a.k.a. Mini Scott (Mark III) to celebrate with some help I might add
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/AtthetopofWigballow2162014_zpsf9809d5e.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/AtthetopofWigballow2162014_zpsf9809d5e.jpg.html)
There was also loads of tiny pink flowers up there ...
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/Flower2162014_zps06587b37.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/Flower2162014_zps06587b37.jpg.html)
And a nice Thistle to photograph even better a Thistle with a bee

I spotted a nice little bit of rock poking out so one of the guys did a veyr quick bit of rock climbing
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/RockClimbing2162014_zps402acb6e.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/RockClimbing2162014_zps402acb6e.jpg.html)
Later on we got back to camp cooked up some food and shared some snacks and marshmallows one of the guys brought some cans of beer and Jon one of my Action Men decided that they must be meant for him as well so he durnk a bit and then decided to sleep it off, when he woke up he thought he might still be dreaming ...
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/AmIseeingThings2162014_zps06062020.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/AmIseeingThings2162014_zps06062020.jpg.html)
Dave takes after his reall life alter ego and always looks very happy when presented with a bottle of beer or cider :**: ;) I don't think I saved the other photos but, you might be able to see in the background of the first one some of the guys were helping themselves to some of the strawberries and mini doughnuts.
We got quite a nice fire going
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/Fire2162014_zps6260727a.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/Fire2162014_zps6260727a.jpg.html)
One of the guys who came along is in the Armed Forces and had a camping stove going spare so one of my friends said that I didn't have a stove so I ended up coming away not only with our Kelly Kettle and part of a bag of wood but, also a very nice little stove

As you can see it's really very compact and lightweight, it folds out really easily and runs on little wax tablets which fortunately I was also given a good supply of to keep me going for a while and once you've got it lit it runs very well now I jsut need to get some practise lighting and using it.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080516_zps36e87c02.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080516_zps36e87c02.jpg.html)
I thought the little boxes that the wax tablets were in with instructions on were quite cool but, I took the precaution of taking a photo of the side with the instructions so I cna laminate it and not worry about the box getting wet

The one down side of the trip was that I realised when I got back that my old Policeman who I've had since I was a child was missing :'( I can only blame myself I thought I'd done a head count and counted everyone but, clearly not but, we had plenty of time waiting for our first bus home when I could have got the guys out and checked if I'd had realise dat that point I could still have run back and searched since the site was only about 5 minutes away. I think I have a fair idea of where I left him on the site and I've contacted the Farmer who owns the site and he says he goes up every day or two to check on his cattle so he'll look out and see if he turns up when the grass gets shorter so there may still be hope.
I'm not going to let it put a downer on what was otherwise a very nice break but, I feel rather sad and bummed out about it, I felt quite guilty about introducing my new Police guys to the rest fot he tema without their leader, also since I only had 3 figures left from my childhood and he was my oldest in fact I think one of my first memories was searching under my bed for his Police cap (I never found it in all the years since) and I think that getting back into collecting Playmobil has really strengthened the bond between us, I hope someone hasn't found him and stuck him on a BBQ and that nobody's been kind and decided to adopt him although at least that would mean he'd have a loving home and that he'd be safe and warm and dry at least the one good thing I can say is that at least I got a chance to make some happy memories with him these past few years and take some photos of him hopefully he's enjoyed himself as well.

I hope your missing figure turns up, Scott, but meanwhile thanks for some great photos of your camping weekend.

Thank you :) I really hope he does turn up as well he's probably one of the most important Klickies in my collection certainly to me
-
I'm very sorry about your missing klicky - I do hope you find him!
-
Love the pictures. What a beautiful countryside.
Feel so sorry you lost your policeman. Keep up the good hope. :sorrow:
We once lost a Playmobil baby crocodile in a gravel field on a campsite. When we returned there about six weeks later for another visit my son found him. Really could'nt believe that. :
-
Great photos, sounds like you had a great time, what a pity that it ended so sadly.
Hope you do manage to get him back he was obviously a very special klicky.
-
Great photos, hope your klicky turns up none the worse for wear.
I think the pink flowers were cranesbill geraniums? Geranium sp.
Looks like a lovely trip.

Thank you glad you like the countryside, I guess at least the baby Croc would have stood out amongst the gravel what with being green still as you say I'm sure he wouldn't have been easy to spot being so tiny, amazing really no one else picked him up. I don't know how long I need to give it realistically before saying he's definately gone for good but, for the minute got to keep on hoping he turns up :)

Thank you I certainly did have a great time who knows might be my only proper holiday again this year so got to make the most of it. As I say my Policeman has been with me a long time so yes he is very special, strangely enough he like many of my Klickies past and indeed present was not ever named or at least not that I can remember, considering all the Klickies I used to have then to say that I only had 3 left from childhood when I started collecting again I reckon these guys must have had some special meaning to me unless they were just 3 veyr lucky guys that managed to get rescued from my mum giving the rest away :eh?:
Great photos, hope your klicky turns up none the worse for wear.

Thank you mate me to, I guess they could be very tiny little wild Geraniums, I'll probably come across them in one of my books problems is it's hard to tell whether they're the same thing because of the scalle of the plant and the scale of the photo if you know what I mean
