Title: A bridge
Post by: indianapierre on May 16, 2014, 01:39:26
We've had playgrounds, zoos, fairy-tale palaces, farms...

How do we not have a bridge?  Yes, there was that rickety rope bridge, and the base from that one medieval set; but neither of these were really nice.  I think of a bridge that swans could swim under, than well-dressed ladies could sashay across, that you could ride or drive a carriage over...

That's an interesting idea.  There was a bridge on one of the baseplates, but a free standing bridge has more use and the types you show needn't be seen as being limited to any period.  The lower one could fit with the Asian theme reasonably well.

Aye, it would be nice to have a stand-alone bridge. An older stone design would work well for historical or modern themes.

There's one in the 123 line, it would be great to have a proper one for the regular line.

A stone bridge would be awesome!  It really would work in many different themes and landscapes.

Ooh yes, you're absolutely right. Are you on the PCC? You should go mention that idea over there.

P.S. The word 'sashay' makes me smile (did I watch the British series Miranda too often?).

Alas, I am not a member of the PCC.  I'm waiting to land that FT job before I invest any further.  (I just finished another degree, so haven't bought any Playmobil 2 years.  I'm dying  8}).

Currently this idea still seems to be a bridge too far for them.

A bridge that fits a whole range of historical themes would indeed be quite welcome.
