Plataies 479BC.

Summer of 479 b.c.The   navalbattle of Salamis(480 b.c.) was a great victory of greek forces. The persian naval forces have been annihilated but the persians also had huge infantry and a strong cavalry. Comanding general Mardonios has stayed in Greece with direct orders to end the greek resistance.
The greeks  have managed to unite one more time and face in common  the persian threat.
In the pictures you can see the  Athenians and Megareans as they are joinning the rest of greeks at  Eleussis. The Greeks under the command of Pausanias the spartan will achieve a great victory over Mardonion's persian army at Plataies in couple days.

Wow, this really looks amazing.. so many great customs. It just makes me want to see an official greek theme even more.

All the work put into this, must be madness to set it all up.

Agelos made an incredible job with his display and I have to say that the pictures and the edit of them is from Grecobil! He did the same to all the dioramas of the expo!

That is a wonderfully built diorama that hopefully will entice geobra to make a proper Greek theme. Great job on all the hard work.

Congratulations George ! Well, this is one of my favorites and I read in an interview with Playmobil R&D that they would consider an ancient Greek theme. So there is hope, one day...  ;D
