Hello everybody.
This is the first movie filmed by Playmobil Geobra in 1978.
In Greece, the toy maker ''LYRA'' had the exclusive production and exploitation of Playmobil, using as logo the most famous gear.
The movie is dubbed in Greek by LYRA.
After almost 40 years we'll see the whole movie. This is very rare material from the personal archives of "Uncle" Alexobil, Grecobils friend. Alexobil is a man who worked for Playmobil Lyra for many years and also for Playmobil Hellas, Geobra's subsidiary in Greece. Right now he is retired and he is very famous to Greek playmobil community.
To the beggining you will see him, to receive the movie at his home with the post.
The whole scene before the movie was created by my friend Grecobil. It is a very nice presentation with lots of surprises! He has done great work on this video and he worked very hard for lots of months to show us this amazing project.
The difficult process of editing and processing audio / video is made by Gregory, DigiLab Ltd, Grecobils friend.
* ZZ Top - SHarp Dressed Man
* The Mupet Show - Mahna Mahna
Enjoy it!

I didn't know where to post it, so you can remove it to the right section.
Thanks in advance.
Friendly George. :)

I want one of those space men!!!

Superb! What a gem. Are those aliens customs or were any ever produced? I thought there were some excellent effects in the film and I liked the ZZ Top/Muppets intro too. Parts of the film made me think 'Clangers meet the Woodentops' (two old British children's programmes from about the same era, and earlier).
Thanks for sharing this Georgag! Anyone feel like doing a translation into English of the commentary?

That is brilliant! :D I didn't know what to expect, but that stop-motion thing is soooo cool!! It must have been so much work...
And we see the movie on the TV screen. Nice touch! Those aliens look fantastic, heehee.
Thanks so much for sharing :)

This is great, thanks for sharing it with us.
The video quality is really good. I don't believe the space figures were ever made other than just for the movie. They were so creative back then with dioramas and stuff like this. sigh
The German version is available on Youtube in segments, Tricronejock put it online last year, you can search for him there or the title Die Playmos kommen

Hello everyone.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm very happy you like it!
Those Aliens have never produced from Geobra! You can see them only on this video. As Tim said, you can see the German version on You Tube in three parts. Those three parts uploaded from TJ, last year. Here is the first part and you will find the other two very easy. ;)

Before the whole video my friend Grecobil made a teaser about it and I would like to see it too, because it is very nice and it has great music!!

I want to say also that for this video Grecobil used almost 700 figures!!! The scene to the end of the video with people outside the house was not made on photoshop!! It's a real scene 100%!!

Playmobil just posted the full version of the film on their YouTube channel and posted it to the front page of the PCC. Quality is generally good but a bit worn looking. They tell some history of it and that there are French and English versions that haven't been digitized yet.
