How can a toad possibly find his way to this? I've heard of snakes doing just that, though…just in case someone has herpetophobia!
Thanks Gaston, that was great!

PS: so how did you deal with your "urgent need"? And with the toad?

Fortunatelly there was another bathroom, though tonguello was SO scared to go into, he almost wet my his pants.  ;D

THIS toad was removed by a friend... but........ there is more to this story  ;)   Soon you'll find out.

    This is hilarious, Gaston! Very well done, I loved all the warnings at the beginning!

I certainly understand phobias... if I found a dog waiting in my bathroom, I would definitely wet my pants!

Oh dear that's the last thing you need when you're bursting for the loo, greta intorduction and photos though  love the one with the Toad sat in the toilet wondering what's happened and of Martin pushing the barrow full of Toads

Strikes me as strange that Bufonophobia is a fear of Toads seeing as probably the only Botanical/Latin name I know in reference to an animal is Bufobufo = Frog therefore you'd think Bufonophobia would refer specifically to Frogs not Toads  :eh?: anyway nerdy moment over  :-[

 I think if I had to go that badly I might not have noticed the frog at all and would have probably used the toilet.

Not fond of animals myself though, not that I have anything against them just don't like to be personally involved with them.

As for frogs.. my mother once thought she saw a stone laying on the path in our backyard when it was dark, and she wanted to pick it up. Just as she was about to touch it, it turned out to be a frog and it jumped away.

More fiction tales of the real life to come soon! Stay tunned!

Great story Gaston  Sorry but I found it very funny, did you really stand on a chair on the table?
I can sympathise in a way - I once found a toad in our bathroom here  :0
The things I really don't like though are slugs - Yuk!!  we've recently had new doors fitted, but before that they used to come under the door into the sun room that is my office, at night - I once sat at my computer and felt something cold on my leg - a slug was crawling above my ankle :0

Great story Gaston. I take it the Playmobilness of the frogs in the story is enough to overcome any resemblance to the real thing? Or did you use a stunt photographer for those shots?  :clover:

 Fantastic story, Gaston! I'm surprised you're still willing to go back next year.

Elaine, you just made my skin crawl. :0

I was once at a party in a park that was absolutely infested with caterpillars (non-stinging ones, thankfully). You just had to get used to the fact they were going to be crawling all over you. There was nothing to be done for it. They were even dropping out of the trees!

Great story, Gaston!  I can deal with just about anything (except snakes) if I know they are there.  It is the element of surprise that makes me jump out of my skin.  I think I would have wet my pants!

I got goosebumps just holding the green playmo-frog which to me seems VERY real.

ewww!! I'm considering not to go back actually, at least not to the house. We have an apartment a block from it, so I might stay there.

I'm also considering I might have some other phobias (like slugs and snails and pretty much everything that has no fur nor feathers) like one wasn't enough:lol:

Thank you everyone for your feedback.

Actually being phobic is a horrible thing. Of course it depends on the level of your phobia. Mine is pretty strong but I don't pass out or actually wet my pants though I do loose control of what I do to get away from "the thing". So if I screem or knock someone down I don't know until after it's done.
But my mother could easily faint if she sees as much as a picture of a spider.... so it runs in the family guys

bb answering your question, I didn't get on the table but I did rise my legs on a chair so they wouldn't touch the ground until the toads were removed

Thank goodness I can take it with humor now, but growing up it was devastating for I couldn't go to camps or any place I could come across frogs. There were no frogs at the beach town until 2 or 3 years ago .... anyway.... thanks god for adulthood

I know exactly what you mean! I've looked like a complete idiot more than a few times running, screaming, climbing to get away from someone's fluffy lapdog. I've learned to have better control now, but as a child and even teenager I always made a fool of myself. When I was little I would literally take hold of my mom's clothes and climb up her like a little monkey!
