Title: question about viking longboat 6330
Post by: reimagination on February 14, 2014, 08:33:03
First off, I wasn't sure where exactly to post this kind of question. So I'm sorry. I have the problem where I know what something is, but I want to know something about it.

I've been wanting the new 6330 Viking Longboat ever since I knew of its existence, and I just now purchased it off their website. But in the mantime before it arrives, does anyone know the dimensions? It's larger than anything else I have, so I just wanted to makes sure that I have space for it.

Thank you.

At one time the website used to give the dimensions of things, but they don't seem to now.

What will you do if it is too big?

hang it from the ceiling.

...okay, that was meant to be sarcastic, but it might not actually be that bad an idea. hmmm...

About 18 inches long, 16 inches high, and 6 inches wide without the oars out. :)

oy, didn't think if the oars. hmm, well I could only havr them on one side for my shelf, but I'm thinking this hanging from the ceiling idea might be the best shot. Would it even come with some kind of base or stand, or is the bottom flat? So could I even set it on a shelf?

The bottom is flat, it sits on a shelf nicely. Mine has been on a shelf over my kitchen window for years now.

Can the mast be removed quite easily, or is it not something that should be removed for storage?

The mast removes easily, but at least in the original version there are ropes you tie to it that make it trickier to get out.
