5982 - Motorcycle Garage Review

Set: 5982
Description: Motorcycle Garage
Theme: City Action
Release date: 2013
Value for money: High

Review:

A large box, which on the front has a modern look inline with the City Action-series look and feel. The front image displays almost everything in the set. I particularly like the small image on the top right which displays the option of switching parts, BUT it also insinuates that this set actually has 2 motorcycles, which is not the case. My kids didn't understand it and i believe they should. So maybe that is a tip for Geobra.

The only 2 negative things about the image and box as a whole: The box is way bigger than needed for it's contents and i do think the image is more flashy and digitally enhanced/created then it needs to be.

The set itself is great. It is a playset on it's own and can be easily combined with the other garage sets like 4321,4365 & 4366. Only negative side on this is that the drawers' cabinet is molded into the wall. The bakc side of the box displays all the parts and offcourse the klicky with it's dimensions.

After opening the box, it encloses a Playmobil leaflet, instructions leaflet, the wall parts, several bags with parts and the lift. The instruction has several pages and an inventory. It shows how to assemble the set and contains all the part numbers.
Weird thing is that some bags contain parts that belong together, but almost every bag has parts in it, that actually belong to one of the other bags.
For example: the motorcycle and almost all it's parts are in one bag. Except for the rims and tires, which are in the bag together with the drawers.

The klicky has some weird prints on his torso. Personally i find them a bit to much. The hoody and face are great though!
Almost everything needs to be assembled and can be clicked on the back walls. Storage options are great, especially the 4 shelves. 2 of these are larger and have a nice ridge on the end. The instructions put them with the ridge down, but i liked them the other way around, so stuff doesn't slide off the shelves. The shelves also have to be slit inside the wall very firmly. The aren't likely to ever fall down.
The lift is easy to slide in, then the knob needs to be pushed in from the rear. This also needs an adult hand, because you need a lot of pressure to snap it in place.

When i opened the bags, i immediately saw something wasn't correct with the motorcycle. The right side of the frame was loose, whilest the left one was firmly in place. It appears one half of the cylinderhead from the engineblock is missing. I'm curious if this is single mistake or more sets have this problem?

It is a nice and playfull set, with lot's of parts. The klicky actually has 2 helmets and a hat he can choose to wear. The body part snaps in pretty firmly, and isn't very easy to pull off. This might be due to the set being new and probably will get easier over time.
The motorcycle has 2 body parts, 2 different front-ends, 2 different types of headlights and 2 different sets exhaust pipes. These are very easy to switch and really give the motorcycle a different look.
Nice stickers and lights. The lift is easy to use and even with the bike on the lift, it's a stable set. I like it!

I didn't know this set. Thanks for the review!

I don't know about the clicky's eyes, why the evil grin? Looks like he's up to no good  :)

Thanks for the review and pics. I really like the klicky... Have several of those torsos in odd lots - so gorgeous!

Can you please tell me the part number of that lovely black helmet?

Cool review! I does look a little sparse in the way of accessories for the garage though.

Can you please tell me the part number of that lovely black helmet?

I saw that too. It looks like an interesting piece. Do you have any pictures of the figure with that helmet on, maybe riding one of the motorcycles?

thanks for the review.

This is a must have for us. We have a big bike collection and this one is very nice. I really like the new bars for the choppers. The black helmet is most welcome too. Is it new, it looks like an older police helmet.

good thing it came with a hand saw  I know its stuck on the mold spruce but its just funny to see it in such a set

The shirt on the Klicky, reminds me of fantasy. I guess that is the age of playmobil, fantasize everything
