Title: Sunflowers collection
Post by: sunflower on January 08, 2014, 14:32:08
It turns out I am buying more and more Playmobil since I joined this Forum. Some of you told me that was unavoidably going to happen. Well you were right...

I post some of my collection pictures here once in a while. I like to share them with you.

I started with collecting the animals. Soon I needed more than a box. In December I bought myself a nice cabinet. Which is almost completely filled allready.

And here are some Safari-pictures. Those are from the smokey lot I mentioned earlier in another topic. After a couple of weeks out of the box and an extra perfume oil bath. They turned out just right.

I remember seeing this set in the shop and feeling so sorry Playmobil made all these nice sets when I was too old for them to buy. Now I know You're never to old to buy and play.

We also have a lot of old stuff. Here's one of the early police sets.

I was wondering what the red thing is supposed to be. There was allready another megaphone.

The red thing is the very first Playmo version of a fire-extinguisher. :)

Good idea to turn it in to a topic. I look forward to seeing your collection  :)

Your animals on the shelves look lovely! And your old sets seem to be in a much better state than mine are.

Oh and thank you Erik for clearing out what that red thing is for. I've always wondered about that too.

I was going to say some of my favourite animals out of the ones I'd spotted on your shelves but, there's always to many to pick favourites  :-[ I like the Monkeys and the Dogs though that much I can say   ;D;) they're very nicely ar ranged as well some in neat groups  others as I try to do it so it looks as though you're catching them in their natural setting going about their lives. Nice settup as well with the Safari set looks like a packed water hole full of life,  and that classic Police set looks good as well nice and bright in green gotta love those old sets  :)

Great collection, lots of nice animals which reminds me once again that I don't have nearly enough animals!  ;)

I've always liked the safari theme, even though I never had any sets of it myself.

Last weekend I sorted out some of the old Playmobil. It used to be my husbands.
It took a lot of time but I was surprised how many small items stayed with us for over thirty years. I cheated a bit on the lights. I exchanged them between the sets.

My pictures aren't very creative but I hope you like to take a look at it.

What lovely sets! And in such good condition too. I've got some of that stuff from 30 years ago, but it's in pretty bad shape  :)
That tv crew and van is wonderful. They should do a modern version of it.

Some great classic sets there they all look good but, particualrly I like the mechanic fixing the car and that plane is just great first time I've seen it and I really like it. As for individual figures always like seeing the military guys with the decals on and that Jester jsut looks so happy and birght in those colours and with that hat

We played a lot with Playmobil the last two weeks. My sons were having their spring holiday.
This is a Police diorama my oldest son made. He likes to share it with you.
He is very patient doing this. Too bad his three year old brother messes thing up in no time...

That prisoner's meal is a great shot!

And love the tv van with that cherry-picker on top, those vintage sets are awesome! The nurse figure especially since she's so simple but gets the point across.

I seriously decided to stop chasing marktplaats for more animals when this deal turned up.
For only 7,50 I bought 21 animals. They're not all in very good shape. But there are some interesting ones I didn't want to miss. Can I please share my happiness with you cause no one else I know is excited too...

I HAD to buy it because of the white shark and the Indian elephant I didn't have yet.
But I was surprised to find out that the zebra's were the older type with the bended leg. The dolphins are older versions too. An there is one giraffe in a darker color. Too bad his horns are broken.

The legs on a couple of them are quite loose too. The can do very interesting ballet performances but it is hard to let them stand up straight. Is there anything to do about that?

White shark! Circus elephants!

And I totally love that orka whale too, but you already have one, right? They can keep each other company now.

If you find deals for 7,5 euro at Marktplaats, why stop chasing them? ;)

I have been buying a bit too much lately  :-[

The orca is indeed a special friend to the first one. I gave this one to the boys to play with in bath. It dives great because of the weight inside. They had a lot of fun with it. Maybe i should buy some more  8}

Because one fish doesn't make a good aquarium I had a good excuse for a new hunt.
Last weekend I bought two different lots of fish stuff. This is a photo of them.

I was surprised by the coral. You can build a lot of variations with it. Playmobil sure made very nice stuff during the time I was busy being a student. Great to catch up now.

The orange coral and the purple thing in the back are not Playmobil but they look nice in this scene.

I don't think we ever actually tried to "build" anything with the coral, but now you made me want to try :-[

Create is a better chosen word. But the 'top' fits in the small holes and the 'bottom' in the big. You can also connect them together. So you can combine them in a lot of ways.

It is fun. You should give it a try someday!

 :o  That's beautiful!

I don't have any fish scenery stuff. This makes me think I should  ;D

I love how it looks like all the fish are swimming. I' m sure your skill in putting it all together has something to do with that  :)

Thank you. We had a lovely vacation in Denmark. Not close enough to Zirndorf for me. I'll try harder next year. Legoland was fun too.

Here are some pictures we took at the beach with my sons latest purchase. Maybe I'll rename this threat Sunflowers and sons collection.

Lewis went on a beach patrol one day

He discovered something alarming

He called immediately for some help

Of course the fire was put out, but we forgot to take a picture of that.
