Has any one else had problems accessing PlaymoDB in the last 24 hours or so?
-
Yes. It's been down for several days now. :(
I think I've been trying since Tuesday without success.
I notice how much I really depend on the site when it's gone for a little while. Hope it will be back online again soon! :crossed:
-
Thanks for the news, Sylvia. I was able to access it until yesterday evening. As you say, it really is a site you can't do without.
As for the part number, Hadoque was able to provide me with it via Playmofriends.
-
It seems to be back up - at least it is working fine for me at this point.
-
It's not for me. Yesterday evening I suddenly found I could only get the home page and then eventually nothing at all, just the Problem loading page message.
-
I still can't access any of the site.
I wonder what's causing it. :eh?:
-
Hm, for me it's everything working fine: I can lookup sets and can search for items -- everythings seems to display correctly ... (and with my new internet access bandwith of 6 GBit even pretty fast ;D)
-
Puzzling! I emailed Heather but haven't received an answer which suggests that maybe my email didn't reach her.
-
I've just tried accessing via Internet Explorer rather than Firefox, but still no luck. I wonder of the server between the UK and Canada is down. This would explain why Tim and Jochern can access the site but not me and Sylvia. I'm on BTinternet, what ISP do you use Sylvia?
-
I tried IE too just in case it was something to do with Firefox. Also got the same or similar error message.

Hmmm.... dare I say it....?
I'm with supanet. :shhhh: (Too lazy to change to a better one).

x2
No problems here either.
-
It works for me just fine, on IE and Firefox. I`m with Pipex, btw.
-
How odd. I still can't get it to work and I've never had this problem before. ???
All I can think is that it might be a firewall issue, but as far as I know I haven't changed anything in my browser settings that would prevent me from accessing the site.
Must look into this.
Thanks for the info, Val. :)

No problem here in Belgica, PMdb works fine for me...
-
It's still not working for me, but doing a google on the site's IP address in quotes ("66.48.80.138") seems to suggest that it's been identified as a spammer.
-
Hi gang,
I don't know what's wrong with PlaymoDB on your side of the pond. (Is it all UK and Euro folks having trouble?) The spammer issue is (I hope) a red herring since it's a shared server; I did the same google as playmofire and did see the IP is some lists, but nothing recent. Can someone do a ping and a traceroute and send me the results? ( playmodb@gmail.com shouldn't be affected by anything!) Also when reporting problems, saying exactly what happened helps a lot (some of you have, thanks): can't get to any page, can't get to "inner" pages, get a "page not found" error, "timed out" error, in just one or any browser, other weirdness.
I'll let you know what I find out!
Cheers, Heather

Hi Heather,
The timed out connection message comes up. At first, I could get to your home page and then the timed out connection message came up.
I've done a ping and tracert and saved them (thanks to your instructions) and have emailed them to you at the address you gave.
-
Just an update for anyone not able to reach PlaymoDB (usually UK members).
There appears to be a problem with a server in Toronto. Heather knows about this and is raising the matter with them.
-
YAY!!!! :yippee:
It's working again!! :D
Thanks, Gordon, for helping Heather to sort out the problem. :)
-
Glad to see I was able to help, and thanks to Heather for her assistance in telling me what to do.
-
Glad to hear! I'll close my support request. Do contact me in future if things aren't as they should be, eh?
Cheers, Heather

There should be an email for you I sent about the problem in your blog email inbox.
