Title: Can anyone please help me and my little friend
Post by: DrDalek6 on October 15, 2013, 19:22:35
Hello guys Mini Scott developed a crack in his left arm a few weeks back which I tried to glue using some superglue, sicne I couldn't find my usual glue I used some very strong stuff which ended up being impossible to remove from him and took me about 20 minutes to get off my hands. Anyway on Monday the glue failed and disaster struck

:-[ As I said last time one of my figures needed surgery I'm not veyr good at dissassembling figures and I'm stil rather worried about damaging him since he's quite special to me but, he at very least needs a new arm if anyone's got a suitable replacement? we'd certainly both really appreciate any help anoyone could offer and as I've said it's one thing being a leader with battlescars another thing being a leader with half of your left arm mssing. Cheers guys

Not sure I have that shade if blue - can you list some figures with that color, so I can try to find a match in the poptub...

I can offer to perform the surgery, if you wanna send them that far... Never had a casualty with the current pophook.

To Tahra thank you very much for the offer it would be much appreciated he's got quite light blue sleeves like these Police officers

Maybe you could do a detailed, step-by-step tutorial for us with the "pop hook" and your other methods!  I dare say you must have more experience than anyone on this forum.

Please.

Maybe the answer is to replace both arms with a suitably coloured replacement.  As there is another colour between the shoulder and the shirt colour on the body, you could probably get away with the colour match not being exact.

I'll take a look in my spares box tomorrow and see if I have anything suitable.  If you can't dismantle him I'm quite happy to do it for you.

Ah, I'm sure I have them in the "female" variety.. But might have "male" too. Can only look on the weekend. Like playmofire said, if you replace both arms, it'll match - and I'm sure I'll have a pair of light blue "male" ones.. even if not an exact match ;)

Thank you both for your kind offers of help, Elaine if you do find anything please do let me know as it'll be less distance to send him. You're quite right there are plenty of arms in a very similar shade of blue so I'm sure if it's a bit off the original it won't be to noticeable. Thanks again guys  :)  :thanks:

Found suitable arms... Either from one of those cops or the roman family man....

Let me know what you decide! ;-)

Edit: pic attached!
