Title: Artillery - Lego X Playmobil
Post by: Limorrj on October 12, 2013, 04:29:21
Today I decided to play a prank.
I joined one artillery cannon of my Lego and one artillery cannon of my Playmobil.
The result is in the pictures below.
I'm waiting for the reviews to know what you think of each.
Greetings

Funny!
How do you spell the brand of the toys on the left? LOSR?

Hmmm ...
Never thought about using a Lego cannon as a Playmobil Civil War howitzer. Except for the size of the wheels it's just about perfect! (please see pictures below)
Thanks, Limorrj! Great idea.
BTW, which cannon shoot the farthest?

Biased as I am, I must say I like the playmobil version better simply because the clickies are smiling and the lego figures are making odd faces. Liked them much better when they had a friendly smile.

I still like my LOSR(?) Rhalius and also dont agree with their new faces (which PM has already given into) but I think their new skin color is much better than those yellow ones we grew up with....and I wish they'll use softer plastic for those crab princers :P cause the break after many years

and Limorrj, I like your LOSR(?)....I almost started collecting them if not for great self restraint but I did get seveal of their newer Napoleonics (ok ok I am out-of-topic and out-of-forum too  :P)

Well, yes, resembling abbreviations I sometimes see on US license plates (limited letters available ... like "BYBYOFCR", "PEN15", "DADSGFT", "IMN269S", "JAGA55", "SPRCOOL", "CAL41A", "H8DMV" ...)

Yes, the Lego figures seem to have taken an angrier turn over the past few years. Of course, even if the Lego figures were smiling and friendly, I still would like the Playmobil version better. ;D

that was just a nightmare...what actually happened was that the Goliaths' gun shot over Davids' heads while Davids' shot hit Goliaths where it hurt...that's what kids would like to hear  ;)

 hilarious!!!  another way to use the lego figures is when you make a 'distance shot'..  because they're smaller, you create a false distance... and more perspective!

In the first part of "The Story of Randolph", I've used children clickies (on the heap of the fallen, see RandolphP5: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=9817.0 ) to create that effect. (Actually, those where the black martians)
